The City of Greensboro continues paying local lawyers – after14 years – to resist efforts by former Police Chief David Wray to receive reimbursement for legal expenses, as provided by city policy. Following unsubstantiated racial allegations against him, the city, rather than coming to Wray’s defense, ducked for cover, leaving his expenses in limbo.

Have you seen the online video of the 6 year old girl begging police officers not to arrest her? Officer Dennis Turner arrested 6-year-old Kaia Rolles because she threw a tantrum and kicked a school staff member. Kaia begged for a second chance, and begged school staff members for help. She didn’t get any help.

The News & Record recently wrote an editorial taking Gov. Cooper’s side on the state budget impasse by claiming the General Assembly should pass Medicaid expansion because a WRAL poll found that a majority of people “agreed with Cooper.” The title of the editorial is, “Will of the people.”

Biased media claim investigating opposition is “illegal” and “unethical.” Yet, the Obama administration investigated Trump, a political opponent. That would also make Nancy Pelosi and democratic representatives unethical for investigating Trump for impeachment. In the court of public opinion, data shouldn’t be filtered/cleansed by third party “fact checkers” to protect the “innocent.”  “Fact checkers” inability to differentiate fact from opinion reduces credibility. Communicating different opinions is not a lie, just as communicating agreement is not truth.

Hughlene Bostian Frank, 72, of Greensboro, died at her home along with her beloved husband, Bill in a tragic fire on Sunday, May 19, 2019.Hughlene was born January 8, 1947, in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of the late Hugh Lee and Tina Caldwell Bostian.  She is survived by her brother, Terry Bostian and wife, Bonnie in Seneca, SC; nephew, Brian Bostian and wife, Tracey; grandniece, Carissa and grandnephew, Evan of Huntersville.
