“ Trump won 77,284,118 votes, or 49.8 percent of the votes cast for president. That is the second highest vote total in U.S. history, trailing only the 81,284,666 votes ( seems impossible doesn’t it) that Joe Biden won in 2020. Trump won 3,059,799 more popular votes in 2024 than he won in 2020 and 14,299,293 more than he won in 2016. He now holds the record for the most cumulative popular votes won by any presidential candidate in U.S. history, surpassing Barack Obama. Running three times for the White House obviously helps. His count in 2025 was TOO BIG TO FAIL.
Kamala Harris won 74,999,166 votes or 48.3 percent of the votes cast. That was 6,285,500 fewer popular votes than Biden won in 2020, but 774,847 more than Trump won in 2020…

True defense of the world’s “starving children”

The majority of Americans support USAID under two conditions:

It sticks to funding basic food/water, infrastructure, health (immunizations, antibiotics, antiretrovirals, and maternal health), and education (math, science, and reading) during international humanitarian assistance,
Domestic spending on social security, Medicare/Medicaid, VA health, and FEMA isn’t risked.

Abolishing the Penny seems like a good idea at first blush, but there would be two negative consequences.

Without the ability to make exact change in cash, merchants will inevitably start folding sales tax into the listed price, rather than adding it to the price. So a $10.00 item will come to be priced at $10.70 (incl. tax) on shelves.

I’ve seen this before. When VAT (Value Added Tax, a variant of sales tax) was introduced in the UK, many stores initially quoted their prices as “plus VAT”, so the VAT was added to the transaction at the end, as we do here. But ultimately they all folded the tax into the price, for the sake of clarity and simplicity….

My Greensboro residency and voting record have been questioned and misrepresented, so here are the facts which can be verified at the Guilford County Board of Elections.

came out of nowhere, as no other speaker attempting to fill Johnson’s seat was treated in this
manner. On the surface, Hoffmann’s attack was grueling to say the least; but therein lies the

I’m watching the news, jumping back and forth between FOX and MSNBC on coverage of the release of the three Israeli hostages.

What amazes me is the level of somewhat sympathetic coverage of the Palestinian prisoners being released versus that of the Israelis. They were going on and on about women and children being exchanged, talking about the supposed conditions while there was NO talk about how the Israelis were kept and treated. It will be interesting to hear their story and how they were treated. They talked about the children but I have yet to hear one word about children and infants that were taken by the terrorists have been treated. They talk about the civilians, women and children, killed during the war. What about the Israeli CIVILIANS that have been killed by spineless wonders. ANY civilian casualties in combat should be avoided as much as is physically possible but when your targets are in schools, hospitals, private homes with civilians being used, in some cases involuntarily, as shields by an organization of uncaring animals who hide behind a religion to justify their actions it is literally impossible to avoid those casualties….

Today as President Trump is inaugurated for the second time, I, like millions of immigrants before me, feel profoundly grateful to be living my life in the greatest country in the World.

The seamless transfer of power from a senile and corrupt old man to a real American patriot fills me with exuberant joy.
And I’m only on beer number three!…

As I look at Danny Roger’s 6th Anniversary as Guilford County Sheriff, I see the same issues plaguing the Sheriff’s Office that affected the Sheriff’s Office after his 1st 90 days. Low morale, severe officer shortages, rampant employee turnover, wasteful spending, lack of transparency, failed hiring practices, and the list goes on. 

Is Greensboro not better than this?  Is this the best we can do. Roger’s lack of leadership ability and resource management skill have cost the taxpayers dearly.

I haven’t even scratched the surface on his failures to help reduce violent crime in Greensboro.
Having NO plan is a plan to fail. Rogers has done well in the category of failures….

So I am currently homeless and have been for two and a half years.

I have a few points from what people have mentioned here:

I would like to point out that being homeless ANYWHERE, even in a shelter, is not easy in any shape, form or fashion under any circumstances. You don’t even understand or comprehend the mental determination, acumen and strength it takes to walk around this city, and especially within the homeless community, to merely collect things you need to barely survive. Need fresh water? Often that’s a mile walk from where many homeless reside. Food? Once again, miles a day walked. A shower? If you mean the 4 hours a day the IRC offers them 5 days a week max, then a basic count of approximately 300 homeless using these “Amenities” get to have 4 minutes of showering a week – each. Less on the weeks when the IRC is closed on a Friday for “Staff training”…

This is my road map to make Greensboro Great again!

The first thing that needs to be done with the Greensboro Mayor, City Council, and Department Heads of the City of Greensboro is to establish accountability.
1) No one should serve as our Mayor on our City Council if they or their entity is funded by the City of Greensboro and its taxpayers.
2) Our Chief of Police must immediately fall under a new incentive plan which will be based on his or her performance. The bar will be set by the rate of crime in Greensboro. Other incentives will be based on the number of illegal guns and habitual offenders that are taken off our streets. This compensation plan will penalize the compensation of our Police Chief based on homicides, aggravated assaults, auto crash injuries, and property damages from auto crashes in our city….

Anyone who watched either in person or on TV the event of Thursday saw the pomp and circumstance that is an officers funeral (flashing lights, a riderless horse, a caisson, honors, taps, bagpipes and a 21 gun salute). The feeble senile old man who’s still occupying the White House has just okayed another $500 Million in aid to Ukraine – with ten days left in his Presidency.
It’s just one of the Democrats’ last minute moves to undermine the duly elected incoming President and his policy objectives. They’re even trying their best to prevent America becoming energy independent again, by prohibiting oil & gas drilling in huge areas. This is to spite Trump’s aim to “Drill baby, drill”, and to spite the  American people who voted for it…

With the vacancy left by Yvonne Johnson on January 28, 2025, I am stepping forward as a proven leader who deeply understands Greensboro’s needs and has a track record of delivering results. In January 2024, John Hammer reported in the Rhino Times that the City Council approved over $1 million in funding for nonprofits through the Community Violence Intervention and Interruption Project. According to a report in the Rhino Times, these funds were allocated to nonprofits linked to Council members, yet this approach has shown no measurable impact on reducing crime in Greensboro. In fact, crime has increased over the past year. I firmly believe that public safety cannot be improved through misdirected or ineffective spending. The City Council must ensure that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly, prioritizing initiatives with proven results, rather than supporting pet projects that may benefit Council members but fail to address our community’s challenges….

Forty people were tried and convicted by a jury of their peers for the heinous crime of murder. Too many involved the kidnapping, torture and slaughter of CHILDREN!!! Doddering Uncle Joe has commuted the sentence of death on 37 of these animals and inflicted their upkeep on the American people, some of whom are the families and friends of the victims for the rest of their worthless lives. But hey, he’s just doing what he’s told to do…

Can’t file my application for Yvonne Johnson’s replacement of her former City Council Membership until Jan. 2 ,2025 ,but I am announcing myself as a candidate for her replacement. Understand it is a done deal in that her son will replace her and continue her waste of her pet project such as “The Cure the Violence Program” that has produced no visible results after over $1 million dollars of investments by our taxpayers.

The elections are, for the most part, over and it is now time for our ‘elected representatives’ to get to work for US, the American citizens. Unfortunately, there are far too many of these ‘elected representatives’ who don’t seem to understand exactly what their job is.

It’s Wednesday morning and I am flipping between FOX News and MSNBC watching the after action reports on the election.

The folks at MSNBC are talking a very interesting line. Last night they were talking the Party line over and over again. But this morning they were, to some extent, eating their young. To listen to them it was obvious they were abandoning the (National Socialist) Democrat Party and running to suck up to the mid to moderate portion of the Party by criticizing those that had their hand in the back of the Harris puppet making her say all the (and I’m calling it what is was here) crap she was spouting. The (NS)DP actually thought they controlled the electorate and they would fall into line like good little Socialists….

It is 1:40 am and I cut the TV back on. All I can say is when they have their backs against the wall Americans always eventually always get it right. The greatest political come back ever, maga bucks spent by the radical left., a weaponized judicial system, attempted assassination. voter fraud , political fraud and much more. TRUMP never gave up. The left has already starred talking about it was the bias against women, it was the black men etc. No it was because the voters came out in massive numbers and that our constitutional republic worked. Please allow me, Dori Goebel, to make some points in response to Mr. Jon Firebaugh’s letter to the editor on October 24th.

First: Bill Goebel was asked by BJ Barnes to allow his name to be raised as an alternative to Chris Meadows as chair of the Guilford County Republican Party. Firebaugh and others stood with Bill and myself to declare their support for Bill. They even met at my home to plan the strategy to call all the party committee members and assist in what Bill would say as he talked about why he agreed to BJ’s request to put his name out. All of you knew that Chris is a preening, frat boy, trust fund baby that felt entitled to the President spot. Now, I am beyond thankful that God closed that door – we would not want to be in the position to have to support the disgusting, disgraceful Republican Nominee for Governor – Chris has no problem standing with that man…

Last year myself and others put forward and supported Bill Goebel as a candidate for Chairman of the Guilford County Republican Party. As the real party of democracy, there was an actual election and Chris Meadows was elected chairman in a three-way race. Goebel touted his friendship with Chief Justice Paul Newby, his role as a regional representative of the Boy Scouts, and his attaining the status of Eagle Scout as some of his qualifications.  I was also a boy scout, a trained scout leader, and additionally took Scouting’s “Wood Badge” training, the pinnacle of scout leadership training….

In just a few weeks, we will be going to the polls in untold numbers to perform our civic duty. This is a very crucial and pivotal election this term. November 5, 2024, we must vote for the best candidate who closely aligns with...

Monday morning after North Carolina was still fighting to recover from the extreme amount of damage in our beautiful Appalachian Mountain communities, Trump sends a social media message that ends with “…but don’t like the reports that I’m getting about the Federal Government, and the Democratic Governor of the State (North Carolina) going out of their way to not help  people of Republican areas….”  Only a POS would make up such a bold lie in order to politicize a natural disaster such as NC is facing for his political advantage….

Nonbiased media has criticized Kamala Harris for changing policy positions.  Curiously, most policy changes mirror Donald Trump’s.  But why?…

First, she can.  She was appointed.  She didn’t run in primaries this cycle.  Generally, most primary candidates position themselves to the extreme.  GOP candidates try to be more conservative than their opponents.  Democrat candidates try to be more liberal than their opponents.  She is counting on us to forget.  Media and voters must remember Harris’s claimed policy positions from the primaries four years ago…
