The following is a letter to the editor by Rhino Times reader Mike Haley.

That is the second-highest vote total in U.S. history, trailing only the 81,284,666 votes ( seems impossible doesn’t it) that Joe Biden won in 2020. Trump won 3,059,799 more popular votes in 2024 than he won in 2020 and 14,299,293 more than he won in 2016. He now holds the record for the most cumulative popular votes won by any presidential candidate in U.S. history, surpassing Barack Obama. Running three times for the White House obviously helps. His count in 2025 was TOO BIG TO FAIL.Kamala Harris won 74,999,166 votes or 48.3 percent of the votes cast. That was 6,285,500 fewer popular votes than Biden won in 2020, but 774,847 more than Trump won in 2020.”
****If you consider that zero government employees voted for Trump in 2024 it is a fair assumption knowing that Trump was going to drastically reduce the size of the federal government and many federal government employees would lose their jobs, THE RACE WAS NOT CLOSE AT ALL. THE AMERICAN VOTERS DEFINITELY SENT A MANDATE.
America has had zero nada leadership for four years. Even the Trump haters must admit Trump hit the ground running and has done more for America in four weeks than Biden and the Democrats did for America in four years. The rudderless ship now has a rudder. It was truly a blessing that Trump sat out for four years and analyzed all the problems with our country and hit the ground running. America is truly lucky to have him. I know he is not perfect but his vision outweighs his warts. You don’t make mistakes unless you do something. He has as much to lose as any American. The last eight years have cost him and his family dearly.
In my opinion, DODGE IS WAY OVERDUE IN THE FEDERAL OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT. I QUESTION THE CHARACTER AND MOTIVES OF ANY AMERICAN THAT OPPOSES FINDING AND ELIMINATING FRAUD, WASTE AND CORRUPTION IN ANY GOVERNMENT. WHY would they object to such a “common sense” endeavor? Most of all why would any responsible press not want to expose it for what it is?
TRUMP CAN’t DO IT ALONE. I AM WITH HIM 100 percent. The haters will eventually come in but it is much more fun being part of the solution from the start when we make America great and respected again. I proudly choose to be part of the solution.
Also I have confidence that TRUMP sees the big picture … hates needless wars…..believes in strength …..knows America’s potential and has a lot to loose if America fails. …..he has the same incentives America has. He has been there and done that unlike Biden that knew nothing but a government paycheck and what funds his government contacts could create for himself.

I am all in with the person who has America’s best interest first and sees the big picture. Will you join me? I know I can not change those on the left and will not even try as I have tried unsuccessfully before. I also know whom they will come to to bail them out when things go south. Today, Thirty-five TRILLION in national debt and building. Our debt when OBAMA took office in 2009 was less than 12 trillion dollars and today (2025) it exceeds 35 trillion dollars. Not sustainable. America has received their wake up call. The American voters figured it out have you?
I really don’t understand someone hating someone. I have disagreed with people but thank god I have never hated anyone. I may disagree with them but if I do I tell them why. Politicians that are corrupt make me nauseous. We know those that are and we also know politicians that are honest but we may disagree with. The record is clear. I AM ON BOARD AND WE WILL DO IT WITH OR WITHOUT THE WOKE BUT THE LAST THING OUR COUNTRY NEEDS IS A BUNCH OF ANCORS THAT FAILED AND NOW ARE TRYING TO TELL US HOW TO DO IT. Social Studies is a broad field that includes the study of history, geography, economics, civics, and government. It can also include other elements of other subjects like psychology, anthropology and philosophy.

Bevoiler Va. says that their unit has been told not to speak to anyone about her and also why the very next day was all her social media accounts scrubbed. Lastly the real question will be if farming struggles to find legal labor given the aggressive approach to immigration enforcement. But then again, cutting USAID and overuse of tariff will likely cut demand for US Ag production so that will take a lot of pressure of the harvest.

I would point out that the “cut” in immigration took place just before he left, not at the beginning of his term as it should have. Also, these attacks by the Liberal Left trying to compare now to the previous Administration is quite simple. This administration is less then a month old. I think they done quite a bit in this short period but let’s see what it looks like in about a year. My opinion may change.
As far as labor, why would someone go out and get a job when the government gives them a check, reduced cost on housing and food stamps every month. Welfare was meant to be a way to HELP people until they could get on their feet, not be a way of life. And don’t tell me I’m wrong. I shop and watch people going through the checkout getting high end foodstuffs and not give a dime in actual cash. Welfare is a necessity but not as a way of life. I wish I had time to tear apart your USAID and tariff ramblings but I have REAL work to do.

She was not a student as you stated, she was a pilot and it was a recertification flight since she had been doing pudding head duties at the White House for a couple years. Either way she was the responsible person in charge of the aircraft, obviously not paying attention to detail because the helicopter has two altimeter meters on board, one was reading 300 ft. the other was reading 400 ft. she was supposed to be 200 ft. or under that. It was her responsibility

The woman who was a captain therefore the ranking officer was in command of the helicopter and was in charge of all decisions made during flight. Also Chris, there was a crucial piece of transponder equipment that was turned off that would have been in her control. If and when the Army ever releases the audio tapes that were recovered, the DEI part that have been mentioned will become clear

And as for that rambling line about being unable to find work, if that’s true, why are there so many illegal aliens managing to find work? It really comes down to (IMO) a case of ‘I ain’t doin’ no work unless you pay me $20 an hour’ (an exaggeration but not by much).

Immigrants come ready to travel. If by foot if needed, although many find an internal network from existing family land friends already in state. They then of course, take the jobs in rural communities working in various harvests. While many US poor are urban poor and lack access to travel.

But there is a MASSIVE difference between HELPING the poor and needy and SUPPORTING them. I tithe as I can to do the former but refuse to do latter.

P Henry, then do share your ideas on helping the poor. It is one the great challenges of all communities. To make it easy, just focus on how best to help poor single mothers as they face some of the biggest challenges. (and no, saying they should have not had children is not a solution)

You are correct on the definition. Immigrants, that is people who come to this country and use/follow the system to become a legal citizen are, IMO, a welcome addition and potentially improve our society. These people are ILLEGAL immigrants and anyone who does not add the word ‘illegal’ when talking about them is attempting to lie to the American people. Not saying some illegal immigrants are of a potential improvement to our society but they’ve shown a poor a start by starting off as a criminal.
So now people who come to the boarder and declare asylum aren’t legal? Oh right, you assume they are illegal because you don’t like where they came from and the color of their skin….right. My bad.
Of course if republicans hadn’t blocked the largest immigration reform bill for political reasons, the asylum process would have been made far more efficient and processed them in days versus years.
