There have been better economic times than 2022, but there have been few better times to be looking for a job.

Currently, a large number of employers are seeking workers and there are a lot of new jobs on the way in the area thanks to the coming Toyota Battery and Boom Supersonic manufacturing facilities in and around Guilford County.

On Wednesday, April 6, Ontex Operations USA, LLC in Stokesdale announced that the company is once again holding a job fair to find qualified employees. This will be the company’s fourth job fair.  It will take place at the company’s Stokesdale plant on Friday, April 22 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The plant is at 9300 NC 65 in Stokesdale.

Ontex is a Belgian company that specializes in the manufacture of disposable hygiene products including baby and adult diapers and feminine hygiene products.

Ontex stated in a press release that the company continues  to hire for their “brand new rapidly growing, world class manufacturing facility in Stokesdale.”

The company is scheduled to add its second shift in the very near future.

According to the job fair announcement, career opportunities are still available “for those interested in growing with an expanding, international company.”

In 2019, Roy Carroll, who owns the Rhino Times, announced he was developing the South Rockingham Corporate Park.  In 2020, Ontex announced it was building the plant there at a cost of nearly $100 million.

As with its previous job fairs, Ontex intends to offer employment on the spot for those selected.

The jobs available include, but aren’t limited to, maintenance technicians, machine operators and forklift operators.

Interested candidates who are unable to attend should text the word “diaper” to “85000” or call 336-280-0004.  Those seeking employment with the company can also email the company’s Human Resources Department at hr.usa@ontexglobal.com.
