With Easter right around the corner, Downtown Greensboro Inc. (DGI) has announced the second annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.

Visitors will be able to find hidden “eggs” at the 20 participating downtown businesses.

One lucky winner will find the golden egg featuring prizes that include an overnight stay the Biltmore Hotel, tickets to Baby Shark at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts, a $250 Visa gift card from the Eggstravaganza sponsor Truliant, and more.

The rules of this downtown egg hunt are not complicated.  People are invited to visit any of the 20 participating downtown businesses and search for the hidden egg hunt sign, take a photo of the sign with their phone and show it to one of the business’s employees.  Then they will be given a prize egg that may be filled with gift cards, candy, merchandize or it could be the golden egg.

There is only one golden egg in Eggstravaganza egg hunt, but people can increase their odds of finding it by visiting multiple participating businesses.  All prizes are age-appropriate for children and adults, but supplies are limited.

The kick-off for the event will be Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at the corner of South Elm Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive where people can receive prizes from Truliant as well as meet members of the Carolina Cobras, Greensboro’s Arena Football team.

Senior Director of Marketing at Truliant Tricia Beeker said in the press release, “We’re always excited to part of fun, creative events that connect us to our communities. Thanks to Downtown Greensboro and so many terrific local businesses for offering incredible prizes and for creating a vibrant atmosphere where all ages can engage and enjoy all the great things downtown has to offer.”
