If enjoying Winter Wonderlights at the Greensboro Science Center (GSC) is on your to-do list for the holidays, it’s not too late.
The final night of Winter Wonderlights is Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, so you have less than a week. The weather doesn’t feel much like winter, but the show is just as enjoyable in shirtsleeves as in a heavy winter coat. Some would even say much more enjoyable.
Winter Wonderlights is a holiday light show featuring uniquely themed immersive zones designed for the GSC campus at 4301 Lawndale Dr.
In this the second year of Winter Wonderlights, the light show has expanded to include Revolution Ridge, the GSC 11-acre zoo expansion.
Zones new to the 2021-2022 Winter Wonderlights show include a Treehouse Lights adventure, a stroll along Starry Night path and a Wild Walk on the boardwalk.
Along with the outdoor light experiences are indoor opportunities including a Dino Disco.
Winter Wonderlights also includes Dancing Fountains, Polar Pond, Snowball Surprise, Forest of Light and Wintry Welcome,
Tickets range in price from $12 to $24.50 with children aged 2 and under receiving free admission. Group rates are also available and GSC members are eligible for discounted tickets. Tickets can be purchased online at greensboroscience.org
