First responders, piedmont triad teachers, and members of the military are being offered great deal at the Wyndham Championship being played Wednesday, Aug. 11 through Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Sedgefield Country Club.
Free tickets.
And not only do first responders, piedmont triad teachers and members of the military receive free tickets, they can also each get a free ticket for one guest.
Truist, the Wyndham Championship’s presenting sponsor, is providing the free tickets for first responders, which includes law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. To be admitted to the PGA golf tournament free, first responders will be required to show a current identification card, which also qualifies them to receive a complimentary admission wristband for one guest.
The sponsor providing free tickets for piedmont triad teachers from kindergarten through high school has chosen to remain anonymous, but it’s the same deal. A current school identification card is all that will be required for free admission for teachers and their guests.
Members of the military, which includes active duty, reservists and veterans, may receive two complimentary tickets for any one day of the tournament and that comes with access to the USO Patriots’ Outpost at the 10th green courtesy of Truist and Heroes Vacation Club. These tickets can only be claimed at https://www.vettix.org/ and the availability of these tickets may be limited.
All tickets will be digital, and a reminder for those old-fashioned types, the 2021 Wyndham Championship is cashless.
This is the 82nd annual Wyndham Championship, which was first played in 1938 and is the sixth-oldest event on the PGA TOUR, excluding the majors.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 Wyndham Championship was played without fans and with an extremely limited media presence.
For more information about the Wyndham Championship, you may go to www.wyndhamchampionship.com/ or the tournaments social media sites including the Wyndham Championship Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.
Doesn’t it make you wonder why our society fawns over educators who now inculcate the Three “Rs” – Writing, Reading, and Racism – plus the high-control personality police who have only ever harassed and robbed me as I drive along the road, and the various EMS types who consider themselves heroes for doing their job – and retiring at 50 because “I’ve put in my 30 years”?
Why don’t we celebrate the REAL heroes of our country? The entrepreneurs, the self-employed, the small business owners – the people who pay the salaries of all those folk. THEY ARE THE REAL UNSUNG HEROES, not the public sector parasites who forever pat themselves on the back, and shout about how great they are.
Cash is not old-fashioned. BB & Big Business are closing in on us by taking complete control of the currency (Karl Marx). Once our govt has that control; every transaction you make will be permanently recorded. What you purchased, where you purchased it, when you purchased it; and, where you got the money to pay for it.
We’ll all be living by the leave of Big Brother. He will know all about us.
BB already has control of the press; all is left is control of our right to self-defense. Once that is gone, we are finished.
Recent trips to Big Wally here and out of town revealed that neither would accept cash at the automatic check-out. You have to stand in a long line to buy a few items. They are training you to use plastic. The local Big Wally pharmacy accepted cash, but didn’t have any cash in their drawer. So unless you had the right change, you couldn’t buy an RX. How convenient is that?
Amazing how quickly we dropped the “frontline workers” and “healthcare hero’s.” They were dropped as fast as Cone dropped them.
Well, they’re too busy to go watch golf. With this new “delta variant” supposedly going around, they’re having to learn new dance moves for their Tik-Tok videos.
