Ban Tacos

Dear Editor,

I just learned of an ugly incident in Charlotte.  A woman, who didn’t like the appearance of the taco she picked up at the counter, threw the taco in the employee’s face.  All this was captured on video.

She was convicted in court and sentenced to six months in jail.  The sentence was reduced to six months suspension, contingent on three months community service.  She was offered an alternative sentence of two months employment in any fast food restaurant, which she accepted.  The judge did a great job.

My point is that the defendant assaulted the employee with a taco, and the defendant was punished – not the taco.  According to those who attack our Second Amendment rights, it is the weapons fault, not the person wielding it.  By that reasoning, we should ban tacos.
