From Rhino Times Reader Kimball Shinkoskey
How long can America and the world bear up under our President’s regular social media temper tantrums? Will someone please give the President a bottle with some warm milk in it?
A typical example is his Juneteenth Day rant after Iran suspended the start of 60-day talks due to Israel killing 47 and wounding 97 in southern Lebanon the day after the deal was signed.
Here is our President’s very unstatesmanlike message to all who will listen: “We didn’t meet out of desperation, Iran did. They are FINISHED! We’ll play out the 60 days. They get no money, not ten cents!” (“Donald Trump rages with Juneteenth rant over stumbling Iran deal,” MSN.com, 6-19-26)
Yep, Mr. President, that is surely the way to increase confidence in the effectiveness of your deal with Iran. Intimidate and undermine the willingness of the Iranians to uphold the agreement and insult the crap out of everyone who doesn’t read the deal like scripture.

The Iran peace deal could be a big win, unless you believe in fifty years of history. Trump wants peace in the Mideast to bolster his legacy. The “Art of the Deal” seems to favor Iran as of 6-25. Negotiations with Iran are like trying to catch water with a sieve.
Peace deal….like the one Trump tossed out so he could spend billions on a war to only then offer more billions in money to Iran than the previous ‘deal’? All while driving up cost of goods in the US with inflation up yet again?!
By far the dumbest action by Trump yet…..and that is from the same guy who painted the Reflecting Pool a dark blue thinking it would solve the algae problem and then tried to blame it on vandals, so he called out the National Algae Guard to watch over the pool.
Trump is not very bright, and all his actions prove this out……

Ah the maturity of a conservative posting a comment anonymously online…….a sight to behold by none.

At least I’m not a snide, snippy Leftist who posts anonymous comments online.
And claims to be a Professor when he’s not a professor!
What a wanker.
I think Trump’s rants and use of poor language is a distraction from what I think is his more concerning tactic in communication….lying…..continuously.
Trump recently posted on social media that Iran had “agreed to never have a nuclear weapon” and that reports involving hundreds of billions of dollars in reconstruction funding for Iran were “fake news” created by Democrats. Yet even members of his own administration have acknowledged that the current arrangement is a memorandum of understanding and framework for future negotiations, not a finalized agreement, and discussions of a potential reconstruction fund have been publicly acknowledged by administration officials.
Whether one supports negotiations with Iran is beside the point. The larger issue is that Trump routinely presents complicated and evolving situations as simple, settled facts. He speaks in absolutes because absolutes are easier to sell than reality.
This pattern has repeated itself for years. Trump makes a bold claim. Supporters repeat it. Media outlets investigate it. Then details emerge showing the situation is far more nuanced…or in some cases directly contradicting what was originally said. When that happens, the blame is shifted to the media, Democrats, judges, bureaucrats, or anyone else convenient enough to serve as the villain of the day.
What makes this strategy so effective is that many supporters never hear the correction. They hear the original claim, accept it as truth, and move on. The falsehood travels farther than the fact-check.
At some point, citizens must ask themselves a simple question: If a person repeatedly tells you things that later prove false, misleading, or incomplete, how many times do you have to be fooled before you acknowledge that you are being conned?
Cheers
Why does the rhino times accept a letter from a writer from the SUN CHRONICLES written by kimball Shinkowsky –
What has happen to local reporting ,
Local news – this paper has gone down hill since John Hammer left.
Come on , please do better , it was the place to get local news from local people .

Dan’s right.
The long time Rhino readers see clearly the deterioration of this newspaper. It used to be eagerly awaited every Thursday to see what our local government politicians, police, and public sector parasites were up to.
Now it just rephrases press releases provided by those people and calls it news. There is no investigative journalism any more.
Even the prized Letters column has become a joke. One Letter (mine, actually) sits there for nearly a month while several other submitted Letters back up until Scott finally gets around to putting them up…. almost a month later. Then four Letters appear all at once.
It’s just laziness.
The new owner and editor treats this historic and invaluable institution as a plaything of a part-time job.
Sorry Scott, but it’s all bleedin’ obvious.
I agree with Dan – please do better.
