From Rhino Times Reader Kimball Shinkoskey
How long can America and the world bear up under our President’s regular social media temper tantrums? Will someone please give the President a bottle with some warm milk in it?
A typical example is his Juneteenth Day rant after Iran suspended the start of 60-day talks due to Israel killing 47 and wounding 97 in southern Lebanon the day after the deal was signed.
Here is our President’s very unstatesmanlike message to all who will listen: “We didn’t meet out of desperation, Iran did. They are FINISHED! We’ll play out the 60 days. They get no money, not ten cents!” (“Donald Trump rages with Juneteenth rant over stumbling Iran deal,” MSN.com, 6-19-26)
Yep, Mr. President, that is surely the way to increase confidence in the effectiveness of your deal with Iran. Intimidate and undermine the willingness of the Iranians to uphold the agreement and insult the crap out of everyone who doesn’t read the deal like scripture.
Kimball Shinkoskey

The Iran peace deal could be a big win, unless you believe in fifty years of history. Trump wants peace in the Mideast to bolster his legacy. The “Art of the Deal” seems to favor Iran as of 6-25. Negotiations with Iran are like trying to catch water with a sieve.
Peace deal….like the one Trump tossed out so he could spend billions on a war to only then offer more billions in money to Iran than the previous ‘deal’? All while driving up cost of goods in the US with inflation up yet again?!
By far the dumbest action by Trump yet…..and that is from the same guy who painted the Reflecting Pool a dark blue thinking it would solve the algae problem and then tried to blame it on vandals, so he called out the National Algae Guard to watch over the pool.
Trump is not very bright, and all his actions prove this out……

It’s amazing that such a stupid dunce get to be a millionaire and The President, ain’t it…?
His daddy gave him 400+ millions and some amazing TV producers made him very famous plus an addition couple 100 million. Calling him self made is a big stretch. But if it makes you feel better sypoorting a moron. Have at it.
————
On the contrary “Professor”, it is you who gets off by demonizing and smearing the President.
It’s just one element of the “hate” in your heart.
And his father did not give him $400 million.
And I didn’t say he was self-made. You always lie about what other people have said, don’t you?
So you think you can turn a few million into $6 billion? What an idiotic statement you made.
400 million is not a few million. 2 billion is his accepting of brides via his crypto scam…..by far the most corrupt President in US history….

TDS from a POS.
Ah the maturity of a conservative posting a comment anonymously online…….a sight to behold by none.
————–
At least I’m not a snide, snippy Leftist who posts anonymous comments online.
And claims to be a Professor when he’s not a professor!
What a wanker.
LOL noooooooo….you are such a sweetheart. LMAO
Cheers
————————-
“Cheers”….?? Are you British now?
When you’re not attacking me you’re imitating me. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Still, I don’t care to be flattered by such a tosser.
I think the word you are looking for is ‘mocking’.
Glad I could help.
Cheers Matey
—————
Yeah, you’re funny!
You should be a comedian.
I think Trump’s rants and use of poor language is a distraction from what I think is his more concerning tactic in communication….lying…..continuously.
Trump recently posted on social media that Iran had “agreed to never have a nuclear weapon” and that reports involving hundreds of billions of dollars in reconstruction funding for Iran were “fake news” created by Democrats. Yet even members of his own administration have acknowledged that the current arrangement is a memorandum of understanding and framework for future negotiations, not a finalized agreement, and discussions of a potential reconstruction fund have been publicly acknowledged by administration officials.
Whether one supports negotiations with Iran is beside the point. The larger issue is that Trump routinely presents complicated and evolving situations as simple, settled facts. He speaks in absolutes because absolutes are easier to sell than reality.
This pattern has repeated itself for years. Trump makes a bold claim. Supporters repeat it. Media outlets investigate it. Then details emerge showing the situation is far more nuanced…or in some cases directly contradicting what was originally said. When that happens, the blame is shifted to the media, Democrats, judges, bureaucrats, or anyone else convenient enough to serve as the villain of the day.
What makes this strategy so effective is that many supporters never hear the correction. They hear the original claim, accept it as truth, and move on. The falsehood travels farther than the fact-check.
At some point, citizens must ask themselves a simple question: If a person repeatedly tells you things that later prove false, misleading, or incomplete, how many times do you have to be fooled before you acknowledge that you are being conned?
Cheers
Why does the rhino times accept a letter from a writer from the SUN CHRONICLES written by kimball Shinkowsky –
What has happen to local reporting ,
Local news – this paper has gone down hill since John Hammer left.
Come on , please do better , it was the place to get local news from local people .
————–
Dan’s right.
The long time Rhino readers see clearly the deterioration of this newspaper. It used to be eagerly awaited every Thursday to see what our local government politicians, police, and public sector parasites were up to.
Now it just rephrases press releases provided by those people and calls it news. There is no investigative journalism any more.
Even the prized Letters column has become a joke. One Letter (mine, actually) sits there for nearly a month while several other submitted Letters back up until Scott finally gets around to putting them up…. almost a month later. Then four Letters appear all at once.
It’s just laziness.
The new owner and editor treats this historic and invaluable institution as a plaything of a part-time job.
Sorry Scott, but it’s all bleedin’ obvious.
I agree with Dan – please do better.
All good points, Austin and Dan.
————
There you go, Scott.
Fun to watch you all get bent out of shape because the Rhino Times isn’t your little safe space for amplifying your echo chamber of right-wing propaganda and misinformation. Amazing that a local news source is actually fair and open to all and you think that is a ‘bad thing’.
Cheers

And we all thought you valued diverse, free, and divergent reporting. It is, after all, the cornerstone of a pluralistic democratic society…. isn’t it?
Or do you favour only the propagation of truth – “PRAVDA”, in Russian? That ring any bells?
Your totalitarianism is showing, Chrissy.
Lol I not the one complaining because an online paper prints both conservative and liberal view points.
Cheers
————–
I have not complained about such a thing, and never will.
Once again, you are misrepresenting what other people say, so as to make them look bad, and so you can feel superior.
Do you feel better now, you little wanker? Do you feel that you are better than everyone else? Do you have a hard on?
You are such an effing loser.
A Gallup poll on American patriotism showed that 25 years ago, 90% of Republicans were proud to be American. 87% of Democrats felt the same way. 25 years later, 92% of Republicans are proud to be Americans. Just 36% of Democrats feel the same way. It’s fair to say the left hates America. Sounds like Chris falls into the Hate America group.
Or….People on the left believe that Republicans have degraded the international standing of the country by starting needless trade wars with long time allies, claiming right to take over Greenland and Canada, starting a needless war in the middle east (again), and kissing the ring of a corrupt bigoted blowhard of a President is indeed an embarassment to be asshamed of…..We are no long longer leader of the free world. We are the embarassment of the freeworld. You have to truely hate America and what it stands for to support a man such as Trump.
Once democrats restore decorum to the office President we will be proud again. This is a great country. I love America but hate what Trump and the republicans have done to the standing of this once great nation.
Also note that if complaining about policy of an administration is a sign you are not a Patriot….maybe you should note how much Trump tells his cult following how awful America was under Obama and Biden.
Cheers
If you loved it under Biden, Chrissy, you should start using your pronouns when signing off.
—————
“Professor” Chrissy believes that the senile Old Fart was not an embarrassment, but that President Trump somehow is one!
The former can’t find his way off a podium. And can’t retain his party’s nomination (or the contents of his bowels).
The latter is exercising America’s military might and restoring global respect for the USA.
Correct, Austin. Unfortunately, we have too many communists in this country, like Chris.
Obama started the downfall of this country. He was just slicker than many and got by with it. Biden was an abomination.
Five days before Independence Day, former President Obama said in an interview with MSNOW that our Founding Fathers held a “deep flaw” for their ties to slavery despite being “geniuses,” and that It’s not possible for him to be a great admirer of George Washington, acknowledging he was a slaveholder,
When Obama was asked in 2007 about his White mother’s ancestors owning slaves, he pretty much said slavery was deeply rooted in the era’s cultural, economic, and political climate, a contradiction to his current position.
Biden was a poor president as his inability to communicate and unite a divided country allowed Trump (a far worse president) to be elected again. And like Trump, he mistook positive macro economic trends as a sign that things were actually improving for the average American when it wasn’t.
Austin, for a guy who claims people (ie me) puts words in your mouth, you sure do love to tell people what other people think….with a high degree of inaccuracies of course. But hypocrisy fits you well. The immigrant who hates immigrants.
Cheers
————
So are you admitting that Biden was an embarrassment?
I asserted that you denied he was an embarrassment. If you want to confess that he was indeed an embarrassment, then I was guilty of misrepresenting your position.
Otherwise my characterization was accurate.
Which is it?
No. I don’t see Biden as an embarrassment as he had some major accomplishments, and he stayed in the background and let highly qualified experts do their jobs without direct interference versus Trump who is a huge embarrassment on the international stage and destructive on the domestic stage.
BUT Biden made some significant mistakes that cost Democrats control of the government.
So Chris says, “Once democrats restore decorum to the office of President, we will be proud again,” admitting his patriotism is tied to who is in the White House. Sad state of affairs.
Patriotism is tied to our country standing up for the principles that were founded on…..which is NOT what this current administration has been doing…
Hope that helps.
