Ban Tacos
Dear Editor,
I just learned of an ugly incident in Charlotte. A woman, who didn’t like the appearance of the taco she picked up at the counter, threw the taco in the employee’s face. All this was captured on video.
She was convicted in court and sentenced to six months in jail. The sentence was reduced to six months suspension, contingent on three months community service. She was offered an alternative sentence of two months employment in any fast food restaurant, which she accepted. The judge did a great job.
My point is that the defendant assaulted the employee with a taco, and the defendant was punished – not the taco. According to those who attack our Second Amendment rights, it is the weapons fault, not the person wielding it. By that reasoning, we should ban tacos.

Thanks for sharing, GREAT JOB by the judge for certain
I disagree with the sentence. This sentence equates working in fast food to being in jail. Actions should have definitive consequences and be punitive when a worker (or anyone) gets assaulted. Six months in jail might just drive home the point that a cheap taco wasn’t worth all the fuss.
Kristen working in any fast food restaurant can be he$$ especially working the service counter in today’s society. Try it you might like it.
Brilliant !
Well maybe if the taco killed the guy…..but it likely didn’t hurt anything but the staffs feelings.
Chris you are a moron, I’m having a little gathering Saturday evening stop on by and we will see how you like getting hit with a couple “tacos” let me know if it just hurts your feelings
I don’t know your address. Should I just look for the rebel flag in your front yard?
I think it’s awful. Don’t want her serving me loogie burgers. She can clean toilets, though. I did in high school. Quite humbling.
Good analogy, Miller
Along with ridiculous letters like this, Miller.
Go eat rocks thst the dogs have christened Glenn
Touché, Aussie, your letter makes as much sense as Miller’s. One more idiotic letter to ban.
