With temperatures in the 80s, it doesn’t feel like the time to be planning an outing to see a winter light show, but it is.
Tickets are currently on sale for the Greensboro Science Center’s “Winter Wonderlights,” which will run from Nov. 6, 2021 through Jan. 2, 2022 for a total of 54 nights at the Science Center at 4301 Lawndale Dr.
This is the second year GSC has presented Winter Wonderlights, which is a holiday light show featuring uniquely-themed immersive zones designed by GES Events.
This year Winter Wonderlights has expanded to include Revolution Ridge, the 11-acre zoo addition, which will be transformed into a winter wonderland with outdoor experiences that include a Treehouse light adventure, a stroll along a Starry Night path and a Wild Walk on the boardwalk.
The Winter Wonderlights show also includes Dancing Fountains, Polar Pond, Snowball Surprise, Forest of Light, Wintry Welcome, Festive Fun Zone and Carousel Dreams.
And Winter Wonderlights includes indoor experiences as well such as the “Dino Disco.”
Tickets range in price from $12 to $24.50 per person with children 2 and under receiving free admission. Group rates are also available and GSC members are eligible for discounted tickets. Tickets can be purchased online at greensboroscience.org .

The installation of what is becoming a Greensboro holiday tradition will begin on Oct. 18 and is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 31 in time for VIP preview nights for sponsors and staff.
