The Sedgefield Country Club is the place to be this week to watch professional golfers do what they do best.

The 84th annual Wyndham Championship PGA tournament is set for Thursday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 6 with the DeJoy/Wos Family Foundation Pro-Am played on Wednesday, Aug. 2.

Top golfers playing this year include Justin Thomas former World No 1, Sam Burns currently ranked 20, past Masters champion Adam Scott, 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama, 2019 US Open champion Shane Lowry, 2019 US Open champion Gary Woodland and Ryder Cup captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald.

Three-time Wyndham Championship winner Davis Love III and former Wyndham champion Webb Simpson both local fan favorites will also be out on the course.

The field for the 2023 Wyndham Championship includes 13 of the top 40 and 21 of the top 50 in FedEx Cup points.

Youth 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a properly credentialed adult courtesy of Harris Teeter.

Teachers representing Piedmont Triad-area K-12 schools and one guest will receive free admission to the tournament, courtesy of The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation.

Piedmont Triad first responders, including law enforcement, fire and emergency medical technicians and one guest are admitted to the Wyndham Championship free of charge, courtesy of The Carroll Companies and Bee Safe Storage.

Complimentary tickets for military members, active duty, reservists and veterans are sold out.

Wyndham Rewards Earner cardmembers who purchase tournament grounds tickets will be upgraded to the Lounge when they present their card onsite. You can also apply for a card and be upgraded to the Lounge.

Grounds tickets provide access to all public areas and attractions including Margaritaville, Truist Fan Pavilion, Sunbrella Wine Deck, Tito’s Stillhouse, Clyde May’s Barrell House and Sunbrella Comfort Zone.
