The last couple of community meetings scheduled by Greensboro Police Chief Brian James were canceled because of the COVID-19 and the request from Gov. Roy Cooper that all non-essential gatherings be cancelled.

But along with communities all over Greensboro having the opportunity to meet and get to know their new police chief, there was at least one notable drug bust.

At one of those community meetings, people raised concerns about 1219 Randolph Ave., which they said was being used to run an illegal drug operation.

On Monday, March 16, police searched that address and seized three handguns (one stolen), one rifle, a large number of cell phones and two-way radios, drug paraphernalia, about $3,800 in cash, marijuana, crack cocaine and heroin.
