The parking pass vouchers now being offered by downtown businesses actually provide three hours of free parking in the city parking decks.
The vouchers, courtesy of the Greensboro Department of Transportation that are available from participating businesses, offer an additional two hours of free parking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at all five of the city’s downtown parking decks, including the brand new deck across Bellemeade Street from First National Bank Field.
The first hour of parking is always free during the day, and the parking vouchers provide an additional two hours of free parking. An earlier press release stated the vouchers offered two hours of free parking in downtown decks when the vouchers actually provide two additional hours of free parking for a total of three hours of free parking.
The parking decks are also free from 6 to 9 p.m. weekdays and 3 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. On-street parking is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends and holidays, but the parking vouchers won’t be of any help for on-street parking during the week.
