The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reported that, on July 6, at about 8:50 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident at 1701 Ewing Drive in Greensboro. That call and subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of the victim’s brother, who is allegedly the man who shot his own brother and put him in critical condition.

Upon arriving at the home, deputies discovered 41-year-old Tony Martin, who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital and, as of Sunday, July 7, was in critical condition.

Deputies then arrested 33-year-old Bradley Martin – Tony Martin’s brother – and charged him with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

Bradley Martin is currently being held at the Guilford County jail in downtown Greensboro with no bond.  His first appearance court session will be on Monday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office, as usual, is releasing very little information regarding the shooting, but did state that this is “an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.”

The Office also stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.

The neighborhood where the shooting took place was in eastern Greensboro, off of McConnell Road just north of I-40.
