Former Vice President Kamala Harris – and defeated presidential candidate and perhaps future presidential candidate – is coming back to Greensboro early next year as part of an expanded national tour for her book 107 Days, with a stop scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts.

The Greensboro appearance is part of what promoters describe as an extended national run following strong demand and sold-out events during Harris’ earlier international tour.

The Greensboro event at the Tanger Center is being presented in partnership with Bookmarks Winston-Salem and being billed as “A Conversation with Kamala Harris.”

It’s centered on the book and its look behind the scenes of a modern presidential campaign.

While she didn’t get enough votes to win against President Donald Trump last year, she is getting a lot of readers: 107 Days debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times bestseller list and has remained there for 10 consecutive weeks with more than 600,000 copies sold across all formats.

In the book, Harris reflects on the final 107 days of the unforgettable divisive presidential race, when the Democrats called her off the bench months before the election.

She was named the candidate just weeks after former President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance fail.

While vice president, Harris made a notable visit to the International Civil Rights Center & Museum during a 2021 trip to North Carolina, taking a seat at the historic Woolworth’s lunch counter that became a national symbol of the civil rights movement following the 1960 sit-ins.

Chairman of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners Skip Alston, a co-founder of the Civil Rights Museum, was closely involved in that visit and he showed her around. At the time, at his encouragement, Harris adjusted her schedule to include the stop at the museum.

That earlier visit remains a point of pride for museum supporters.

Harris held a campaign rally at the Greensboro Coliseum on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, speaking to a large crowd as part of her efforts with the Biden-Harris ticket in North Carolina.

Before that she held campaign rally at Dudley High School in Greensboro, speaking to voters as part of the Biden-Harris campaign. During that visit she addressed issues like health care, voting rights, and other topics from the campaign platform

The February 3 event is part of a larger tour that will take Harris through cities across the South, Midwest and West Coast into April 2026.

Other stops include Richmond, Charlotte, Columbia, Detroit, Oakland, San Diego and Anaheim.

Meet-and-greet tickets were offered for the Greensboro appearance and included a photo opportunity with Harris and a signed copy of 107 DAYS. Unfortunately for Rhino Times readers, as of this week, those tickets for Greensboro stop is listed as sold out.  General ticket sales should open up soon.

Harris served as the 49th vice president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. She was the first woman to hold the office. Before becoming vice president, she was a prosecutor, San Francisco district attorney, California attorney general and US senator.
