If you lost your job during the pandemic and you’re looking for a new one – well, you might want to get in touch with the High Point Rockers because the team is looking for employees for the upcoming baseball season.
In conjunction with Spectra Food Services – the team’s concession provider – the Rockers are holding a series of job fairs in the coming weeks.
The first will be on Wednesday, April 26 and will be followed by two other fairs before opening day for the baseball team that plays in the stadium in downtown High Point.
The job fairs are scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 from 5 to 8 p.m.; on Wednesday, May 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The first job fair will be held in the Catalyst Club at Truist Point, the name of the stadium that opened two years ago and sat idle for much of 2020 due to the pandemic.
Parking for job applicants will be available at 214 Lindsay St.
Some of the jobs up for grabs are in graphic design, food service, fan experience, video presentation, ticket sales and game-day operations.
Also, there are some internships available in several different areas of team operations. The High Point Rockers are accepting applications for 2021 spring, summer and fall internships. Interns will learn the ropes pertaining to a variety of baseball operations including sales, media relations, facility operations, promotions and marketing.
