If you want to increase the number of butterflies in your yard you can learn how in the Cole Family Monarch Conservation Center where people can discover how to choose garden plants that serve as hosts and food sources for butterflies.  Guests will also have the opportunity to see native butterflies up close and in person.

Amazing Butterflies was created by The Natural History Museum in London in collaboration with Minotaur Mazes.  It invites guests to shrink down into the undergrowth and live the life of a butterfly.  The journey is filled with friends and foes and reveals the unusual relationship between caterpillars, butterflies and their natural surroundings.

The journey takes guests on an adventure through the leaves to learn how to move like a caterpillar and discover the unusual relationship between ants and caterpillars.

Then guests get to transform into butterflies and take flight.  You think you have problems and challenges this interactive experience will allow guests to learn about the challenges that butterflies face everyday which have nothing to do with paying bills or making sure there is enough in their 401K to someday retire.

A special preview of these exhibits will be available during the Wings and Wild Things event on Thursday, May 12 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.  In addition to the preview, Wings and Wild Things guests will be invited to stroll through the zoo, hear live music by Runaway Ostrich and enjoy performers from Paper Hand Puppet Intervention.

Tickets for Wings and Wild Things start at $150 per person and guests must be 21 or older to attend. Appetizers, beer, wine an non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
