A 37-year-old High Point man has been arrested in connection with a series of downtown Greensboro graffiti incidents – after police say a social media tip helped point investigators in his direction.

Christopher Michael Pujol was arrested on Wednesday, May 6, and charged with four counts of vandalism – graffiti under North Carolina General Statute 14-127.1. He is being held in the Guilford County jail.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers posted a request on Facebook on April 24 seeking information that could help identify suspects involved in graffiti and tagging incidents in downtown Greensboro.

About two hours later, Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip identifying social media profiles and photos associated with a suspect.

Investigators with the Greensboro Police Department’s District 1 followed up on the tip and found video footage of the suspect vandalizing buildings in the 300 block of Elm Street. Police said the graffiti in the video matched tags associated with the social media profiles provided to Crime Stoppers.

During the investigation, officers tied the suspect to four cases dating back to January 2026.

At the request of Greensboro police investigators, High Point police arrested Pujol at his residence in High Point. Police said Pujol was issued no bond because of previous charges.

“We want to thank our community for sharing information with us that led to this arrest,” GPD Capt. Marcus McPhatter said after the arrest. “This is an excellent example of how an anonymous tip can lead investigators in the right direction in a case like this.”

Court documents in the case are available online through Guilford County eCourts.
