A 37-year-old High Point man has been arrested in connection with a series of downtown Greensboro graffiti incidents – after police say a social media tip helped point investigators in his direction.
Christopher Michael Pujol was arrested on Wednesday, May 6, and charged with four counts of vandalism – graffiti under North Carolina General Statute 14-127.1. He is being held in the Guilford County jail.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers posted a request on Facebook on April 24 seeking information that could help identify suspects involved in graffiti and tagging incidents in downtown Greensboro.
About two hours later, Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip identifying social media profiles and photos associated with a suspect.
Investigators with the Greensboro Police Department’s District 1 followed up on the tip and found video footage of the suspect vandalizing buildings in the 300 block of Elm Street. Police said the graffiti in the video matched tags associated with the social media profiles provided to Crime Stoppers.
During the investigation, officers tied the suspect to four cases dating back to January 2026.
At the request of Greensboro police investigators, High Point police arrested Pujol at his residence in High Point. Police said Pujol was issued no bond because of previous charges.
“We want to thank our community for sharing information with us that led to this arrest,” GPD Capt. Marcus McPhatter said after the arrest. “This is an excellent example of how an anonymous tip can lead investigators in the right direction in a case like this.”
Court documents in the case are available online through Guilford County eCourts.

well duh
37 years old and spraying graffiti and posting it on social media? This bum is taking from society not giving to the greater good of society.
Find him guilty and sentence him to cleaning graffiti across the city!
I applaud this. I remember when NY City adopted the “broken windows” theory: you start to punish some of the nonviolent, “lessor” crimes but very visible ones which helps create a better environment that this behavior will not be tolerated. We should do the same with traffic enforcement: speeding, running lights and stop signs and my newest favorite: enforce the noise ordinance regarding the loud exhaust systems on cars and motorcycles. Put some unmarked cars out in the city and start pulling over drivers and writing tickets. For me, it is a big quality of like issue.
Artist? Nah, just another dumb a_s with no class. If you truly are an artist why not adapt a location, with the city approval to teach young generation art. Not graffiti, but real art ?
Yes, this clown should provide his own water, soap and bucket to clean the city of graffiti. Now that would be a real Art!
letz designate a PLACE where they are paid to ‘art’ . kotis does it successfully go look
