Last weekend was the kickoff of the Christmas season in downtown Greensboro with the Festival of Lights and the Holiday Parade.
Saturday, Dec. 10, holiday events sponsored by Downtown Greensboro Inc. (DGI) continue with the Downtown Jingle Jog 5K and Otis & Wawa’s 7th Annual SantaCon Bar Crawl fundraiser. These events may not be considered quite as family friendly as the previous weekend’s events, unless, of course, your family is made up of adults over 21, but they should once again fill the downtown with holiday spirit, or spirits as the case may be.
Those who wish to participate in both the Jingle Jog 5K and Santacon Bar Crawl can purchase a combo ticket for $45 plus $4 signup fee that includes the fee for the Jingle Jog, a SantaCon Crawler Ticket and one complimentary beer.
For those just interested in running, the Downtown Jingle Jog 5K tickets are $35 plus a $4 signup fee. Registration ends at 11:59 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 and the race begins at 1 p.m. The Jingle Jog begins and ends at the Boxcar Arcade at 120 Lewis St.
The Fun Run/Walk also starts and ends on Lewis Street and begins at 1:05 p.m. The registration fee is $20 plus a $3.25 signup fee.
For those not interested in running, but who want to participate in the Santacon Bar Crawl fundraiser from 3 to 9 p.m., there are several ticket options.
The Skrewball VIP Santa Crawler ticket is $50 and includes a Skrewball Branded Christmas Pack plus everything in the general ticket (Santa hat, event mug and bag, bracelet and free admission to all participating bars).
The Jaegermeister VIP SantaCon Crawler ticket is $50 an includes Jaegermeister Branded Christmas sweater and everything in the general ticket.
The SantaCon Crawler ticket is $20 and includes a Santa hat, event mug and bag, bracelet and free admission to all participating bars.
