Early voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 8 election opens at all 15 Guilford County locations at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Early voting will also be held on Friday, Oct. 21 beginning at 8 a.m., but all sites will be closed over the weekend and will resume at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 and be open through Saturday, Nov. 5.
At the Old Guilford County Court House early voting ends at 5 p.m. each weekday and that location is closed on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30. However, the Old Guilford County Court House early voting site will be open on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – the same hours as all early voting sites.
The other 14 early voting sites are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you plan to vote early but don’t, on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, the polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. However, unlike early voting when any registered voter is welcomed to vote at any of the early voting sites, on Election Day voters are supposed to vote at their assigned precinct polling place.
Because so many people have chosen to vote early, the lines to cast ballots on Election Day have been greatly reduced.
The other 14 early voting sites are:
