On Tuesday, August 4, a home burglar gave the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department quite a bit of excitement.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home break-in at 4607 Sue Ellen Ct. in eastern Greensboro near McConnell Road. Officers were called to the address after a resident of the house got a notification from his security camera that someone was inside his home at time no one was supposed to be. When officers arrived at the address, the alarmed suspect ran away.
The suspect, who was later identified as Phuk Siu (seen in the photo above), was found and arrested in a nearby neighborhood after an extensive track by using canines. According to the report of the burglary from the Sheriff’s Department, Siu had two firearms in his possession.
The suspect was soon charged and arrested for one count of Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, one count of Larceny of Firearm, one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, two counts of Possession of Firearm by Felon, and with a Resist, Delay, Obstruct charge to go on top of the others.
In addition, Siu was being sought for incidents in a adjoining county. After his arrest and charges were given in Guilford County, he was served with an Order for Arrest out of Rockingham County and Warrants for Arrest for two counts of Larceny of Motor Vehicle
He’s currently being held at the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro – known as Jail Central – on a $20,000 bond.
Though the department seems convinced it has their man, anyone with additional information related to this incident or this individual, is encouraged to contact Detective C. Thomas at the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office at 336-641-2683.
He would be lucky to escape my house. $20,000 bond? That’s it? If it were me, I’d get the bond somehow, and cheezit. Better than time in the big house.
