It’s hard to believe the first Friday of the penultimate month of the year will be here shortly, which means Downtown Greensboro Inc’s First Friday Night Live will be bringing live music to downtown Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 5.

The Finns will be preforming at First Friday Night Live in the 500 block of S. Elm St. at Area Modern Home from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Finns are described as providing a “fun-loving, live rock’n’roll party experience with a comforting dash of Southern charm.”

The 500 block of South Elm Street from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to Lewis Street will be blocked off for First Friday Night Live beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.

November’s First Friday Night Live concert will feature on-site beverages from SouthEnd Brewing and Bull City Cider.  Food options will include Ghassan’s Food Truck as well as nearby restaurants and bars such as Bourbon Bowl, Lewis + Elm, Bearded Goat, Boxcar, Mellow Mushroom and Bonchon.

People are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, as limited seating will be provided.

On-street parking downtown is free after 6 p.m. and in the city parking decks.

Southern First is the sponsor for the November First Friday Night Live and Joe DePasquale, executive vice president and market executive with First Southern, said, “Being located downtown and a proponent for Greensboro, we are honored to be the presenting sponsor for November’s concert.  We are proud to play a part in bringing the community together for a great night of entertainment and fellowship.”

First Fridays in downtown Greensboro had become a big event in downtown Greensboro even without the addition of a live concert.  It’s a great evening to visit and enjoy the amenities of the Greensboro’s Center City. Of course, people are asked to maintain social distancing when possible and wear masks when required.
