The Guilford County Sheriff’s Department now has a suspect in the Thursday, Aug. 24 homicide that took place in unincorporated Guilford County in the Adam’s Farm community.

That attack left one woman dead and another – the deceased woman’s niece – injured.

So far, the department hasn’t released many details regarding the attack. However, on Sunday, Aug. 27, the Sheriff’s Department put out a notice seeking the public’s help in finding a man suspected to have committed the crimes.

On Aug. 24  at about 10 a.m., deputies from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department began investigating the homicide at 5600 Wellsley Drive West in Adam’s Farm – a community that was once very peaceful but has seen a half-dozen incidents of violence in the past year.

The department is seeking the public’s assistance in  finding – or identifying – the suspect seen in the picture above.

The alleged killer is a black male, believed to be in his early to mid 20s, and thought to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall.

The suspect is also described as having a “slender build.”

He was previously reported driving a white Chevrolet Colorado with a white camper covering the bed. The vehicle has since been found, but the alleged killer has not.

He’s considered armed and dangerous and Sherriff’s Department officers warn that anyone who sees him should not approach the man. Instead, they should immediately call 911.

If you have information regarding the identity of the suspect, his potential whereabouts, or any other information that might help, you should call Sheriff’s Department Detective D. Duncan at 336-641-5968 or Guilford County Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
