Trump is just a bully.
First, he shows us this in how he goes after immigrants to please his bigoted base and has run off tourism, low-income workers (legal and illegal) and ignored due process that is the foundation of our judicial systems. Next, he used it to ‘negotiate’ trade deals that have now left America isolated in global trade with American farmers taking it on the nose first and American retail soon to follow. He keeps trying to use it to break our financial system by bullying the Fed Chairman but thankfully Powel is willing to hold his ground and has so far been protected by law.
But the worst is his use of the US Military as his biggest bully stick to go after American communities he deems his political opposition. First, he deploys the military to LA against American protestors. It served zero value for public safety and had no impact on public safety in LA and was determined to be illegal use of Military by federal courts.
Then he deploys the military against US citizens in DC who had already had a very significant decrease in crime rates. The troops end up spreading mulch in public parks and standing around babysitting ICE. Just like he claimed he reduced drug prices 1500%, he of course lies about how he has saved DC by dropping crime rates to zero.
Now he wants to deploy military forces against Chicago in the name of public safety. Odd thing is that none of these cities make the top 10 for violent cities in the US. Turns out that 7 of the top 10 cities with the highest murder rate are in Red States! Alabama, Missouri and Tennessee most notably are the only states with cities that have murder rates over 40 per 100,000 which is nearly twice the rate of DC. If you look at violent crime as a whole, the most violent city in the US is Memphis. Not that there is any justification for deploying US military against US citizens under any circumstance.
Using the military against your own people is one of the biggest red flags that your country’s leader is a bully at a minimum and mostly like a fascist at heart. The scariest thing is that many of the 2ndAmendment supporters who claim the right to bear arms is justified to protect against such tyranny, support this bully president and his trampling of the constitution with his fascist and dictator like approach to leadership.
What was once a great country is now a growing embarrassment to anyone who truly appreciates freedom and peace.

Biden said, ”It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” Bernie Sanders said, “Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” And on and on: Democratic politicians must stop their violent rhetoric and condemn political violence, but for now, it is always violence with the left.
Feeding the false narrative with lies again. Typical conservative move. Go ahead, give source or example of democrats encouraging the shooting of ICE agents. Bet you can’t.
If you consider Chuck Schumer’s comment a threat you are rather thin skinned and would hate to hear what you think of the far worse rhetoric by Trump made on a daily basis via his social media platform.
The Trump administration has made the US an embarrassment. Sure, Omar has some over the top words that I don’t particularly support. I shared in my letter Trump’s ACTIONS which far outweigh anyone’s fiery speeches about this administration’s destruction of the US Constitution, US Foreign Relations, or the US Economy by Trump. They are right to be fired up and angry.
So all you have is deflection. Not shocked. Kinda hard to defend Trump sending military against American citizens. But you be you.
Trump sent the military into LA to protect federal property and agents. It’s not Trump that the embarrassment to America, it’s the Left.

Consider Schumer who stood on the courthouse steps announcing “You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions” the Supreme Court “will have unleashed a whirlwind!” That was just way over the top and apparently moved the bar for a US Senator. And it was clearly irresponsible. Of course later, some individual decided such judges needed punishing and took it upon himself to go to Kavanaugh’s home with weapons and zip ties. A clear example of how irresponsible speech can encourage bad behavior by those easily swayed. And yes, if you want to bring up Trump and Jan 6, I would agree 100%.
Sadly, it is going to get worse before it gets better due to our current conservative leadership. When asked if he would try to unite this country, Trump said ““I’ll tell you something that’s going to get me in trouble, but I couldn’t care less,”

Yes, those 7 cities, including Memphis, are in Red states, but most or all of them are run by Democrats. Memphis is Democrat for certain, just look it up, though you do need to dig a little since, just like Greensboro, they are supposedly non-partisan. Greensboro is another easy example of a blue city in the middle of a red state. Not complicated, dummy. So, so, so dumb.
But the argument is that AG’s are soft on crime in blue states and only Trump the tough guy can save the day! Mayors don’t set criminal procedures. This isn’t about crime or public safety. If it was, why target the 11th most violent city that had a big improvement in crime reduction while ignoring the cities where violent crime occurs at twice the rate and is a growing problem. Hmmmmmm…..it’s about punishing political opponents just as a fascist leader or autocratic dictator would do in a third world country.

A District Attorney is a state-level official who represents the state government in a specific local jurisdiction, typically a county or a group of counties. While their work focuses on criminal cases within their local district, they are ultimately prosecuting violations of state law, not city ordinances.
Maybe you should retake 4 grade civics course.
But DAs choose what to prosecute, what to take to trial, when to cut a deal, etc. In Guilford county for example, Ms. Crump refuses to prosecute for most local ordinance violations and for most prostitution violations. That’s her choice, not the AG’s choice. DAs are elected officials and not directly beholden to the AG. It is their agenda and that of local government, not the state or federal government, that has the most direct impact on the local crime rate. Doesn’t take genius to see that. Dummy. Just dumb man. Take the blinders off bro.

I suspect the DA has to prioritize based on capacity. It would make sense that more serious crimes such as violent crime and property crime be prioritized over ordinance violations.
No, you were saying the AG more directly impacts crime and sets policy. I used those two examples to show that it is the local DA, not the AG, who decides policy and procedure for their county. If you want a more extreme example, Ms. Crump chose to prosecute a Greensboro police officer for homicide because he had to make a split second decision while on duty. She has since put the charge on the back burner because she knows she can’t win the trial. Either way, she made the decision to prosecute him, not the AG. Because it’s her purview. She decides what to prosecute and when and how aggressively, not him.
You are in fact supporting my argument by your own comment. Yes, the DA does get to make the decisions you point out because it’s their purview, not the AG’S. Local decisions impact local crime, which is why blue cities inside of Red states have the worst murder rates. Good job finally getting it, Chrissy, even if you don’t understand how you got there.
Those examples only show how local DAs prioritize caseloads and, in these examples, you provided they deprioritize low level crimes which is the opposite of being soft on crime. I don’t think you are making the case you want to be making.
Release decisions that impact a State Administration’s impact on crime is determined at the State level. Sentencing standards, crimes in focus, etc….
I have made my case perfectly well. It is not only factually correct, but the only logical reason a blue city inside of a red state has high violent crime. The bad guys know they will get a slap on the wrist if they get prosecuted at all. These are DA (elected Dem) and superior court judge (elected Dem) level decisions in cities and counties run by elected Dems.

Yes the state sets the standard, which are generally minimally acceptable policies, but the elected DA sets their own agenda within the boundaries of those policies. And it is those agendas, not state standards, that lead to high crime in blue counties within red states. Otherwise, crime rates in red states would be fairly uniform if other variables were taken into account.

I sure didn’t and my research points to the State setting the limits of how law is applied. It was one the levers used to treat drug crimes more aggressively for drugs popular in the minority community (crack in particular) versus drugs popular in the white communities (power cocaine) that led to mass incarceration of minority men.

It’s notable that pretty much every prominent Democrat in an official position of power immediately and unequivocally condemned the shooting of Kirk. That is something that can’t be said of prominent Republicans in response to any act of violence against Democrats by conservative extremists. (see my other comment on this subject).

– Puts conspiracy theories over well-established medical science (anti-vax) to the detriment of public health
– Openly lies at a level only fools would believe – 1500% reduction in cost of medicines, 300 millilon died from drug overdoses, foreign countries paying tariffs, etc…
– Puts the interest of Russia over our allies in Europe and the US (takes Putin’s word over his own intelligence agencies)
– Destroying rural healthcare with Medicaid cuts
– Running up the federal deficit with tax cuts that mostly only benefit the wealthy (permanent tax cuts for wealthy and only temporary cuts to overtime and tip cuts for example)

No, Trump has restored respect for America all over the World. Biden’s America tucked tail and fled Afghanistan in a hurry, failed to enforce immigration controls, and looked the other way as Putin launched a major invasion of another country. None of this would have happened under Trump.
