Letter To The Editor From Rhino Times Reader Christian Rice

Trump is just a bully.

First, he shows us this in how he goes after immigrants to please his bigoted base and has run off tourism, low-income workers (legal and illegal) and ignored due process that is the foundation of our judicial systems.  Next, he used it to ‘negotiate’ trade deals that have now left America isolated in global trade with American farmers taking it on the nose first and American retail soon to follow.   He keeps trying to use it to break our financial system by bullying the Fed Chairman but thankfully Powel is willing to hold his ground and has so far been protected by law.

But the worst is his use of the US Military as his biggest bully stick to go after American communities he deems his political opposition.   First, he deploys the military to LA against American protestors.   It served zero value for public safety and had no impact on public safety in LA and was determined to be illegal use of Military by federal courts.

Then he deploys the military against US citizens in DC who had already had a very significant decrease in crime rates.   The troops end up spreading mulch in public parks and standing around babysitting ICE.   Just like he claimed he reduced drug prices 1500%, he of course lies about how he has saved DC by dropping crime rates to zero.

Now he wants to deploy military forces against Chicago in the name of public safety.   Odd thing is that none of these cities make the top 10 for violent cities in the US.  Turns out that 7 of the top 10 cities with the highest murder rate are in Red States!  Alabama, Missouri and Tennessee most notably are the only states with cities that have murder rates over 40 per 100,000 which is nearly twice the rate of DC.  If you look at violent crime as a whole, the most violent city in the US is Memphis.  Not that there is any justification for deploying US military against US citizens under any circumstance.

Using the military against your own people is one of the biggest red flags that your country’s leader is a bully at a minimum and mostly like a fascist at heart.  The scariest thing is that many of the 2ndAmendment supporters who claim the right to bear arms is justified to protect against such tyranny, support this bully president and his trampling of the constitution with his fascist and dictator like approach to leadership.

What was once a great country is now a growing embarrassment to anyone who truly appreciates freedom and peace.
