A Letter To The Editor From A Rhino Times Reader (who asked that his name not be used due to fear of retaliation)
People say Donald Trump isn’t Hitler because Trump, as horrible a human being as he is, isn’t murdering people. However, that’s simply not true. The president of the United States of America is a murderer and he continues to commit murder.
And no, I’m not talking about the thousands of sick and starving children and others in impoverished countries around the world who he killed by suddenly and viciously cutting off US aid to foreign countries and letting food rot in warehouses rather than give it to the starving.
I get it. As they say quite correctly, the cruelty is the point.
But instead, I’m talking about Trump’s relentless murder of people on small boats in international waters, claiming they are drug traffickers or human traffickers or whatever other line of bullshit the administration is spewing that day.
If they really are all traffickers in drugs or humans, it’s still murder because they are not being given a chance to surrender or prove their innocence. Columbian officials recently announced that the US had killed a fisherman in one of the attacks, while Trump says oh no these are all horrible people and we are certain we know every person on every boat.
He is lying.
Do you want to know how I know that the president and the drunken Fox News host are lying?
Well, one reason is because they lie about everything all the time.
The other reason is that they haven’t offered the American public one single shred of evidence that any of these people were doing anything wrong, much less that they were doing something they deserved to be executed for.
At any time in the past in the U.S., the coast guard would have intercepted a boat and, if an operation like this were carried out in some extraordinary circumstances, the military would show the American people the intelligence that justifies the killings, and they would offer proof that they knew who was on the boats. Trump and the drunken Fox News host, of course, give no evidence. The people on the first boat Trump killed were accused of being human traffickers. OK, fine, so that means there were probably some 14-year-old girls who were going to be sold to rich men for sex.
So, those girls are dead now thanks to the president and the drunk.
The admiral in charge of Southern Operations, the theater in which Trump is murdering people, resigned suddenly two weeks ago with no reason given. No one has said, but I’ll tell you the reason. It’s because the admiral did not want to be part of the chain of command that was committing murder after murder and continues to do so now.
When it comes to Trump and MAGA, every accusation is an admission and, in the same way, every non-answer is an answer.
Their non-answers scream out the real answers. Did Tom Homan the border czar keep the $50,000 in taxpayer money that he is on tape accepting in the FBI sting operation? If the answer was no, Pam Bondi would say no. She won’t. He kept the money and the crooked Justice Department is sweeping his corruption under the rug. Bondi is giving Holmon a pass – all while targeting, with paper thin cases, officials who Trump hates.
Trump is lying about the creepy letter he gave to Epstein for the birthday book. He said the letter was fake.
I guess all the other letters in the books were legitimate except the one from Trump about the wonderful secret that he and Epstein share and how enigmas never age. Written on the picture of a nude body of a small breasted female where Trump’s signature is placed where pubic hairs would be. Yes, I guess all the other letters in the birthday book were legitimate but the one from Trump was placed there by a time traveler who had it in for Trump and his presidency. The time traveler traveled back to 2003, and put it in the book so it could be revealed 22 years later. What is truly so sad is that Trump’s MAGA base believes his 100 percent totally obvious lie that the letter is fake.
Bondi was asked in a hearing if she’d seen the pictures that author Michael Wolff claimed that Jeffrey Epstein once showed him. The photos showed Donald Trump with topless females of a questionable age sitting on his lap and pointing to a stain on his pants. They asked Bondi, did she see the pictures? If the answer was no to that question, wouldn’t she just say no rather than go into her outraged acting mode and say how dare you try and besmirch the president?
The Epstein files are on my desk, she says.
Oh, did I say “are on my desk” – I meant to say, “don’t exist.”
And just about everything out of Pete Hegseth’s mouth is also a lie.
He lies every time he says the obviously and highly classified information he sent to a reporter in the Signal chat wasn’t classified.
Hegseth, the drunk who loves to drone on and on about the importance of merit-based hiring is, given the importance of the position and his total lack of qualifications, quite literally the most unqualified person ever to hold a position in the history of the earth.
His only qualification is that he is literally willing to kill for Trump.
He was a liar when he worked for Fox News and he’s a liar now. Remember, he worked for a company that had to pay out $787 million for lying about the 2020 election.
Some people think Trump is trying to cover up the Epstein files because his rich friends would be implicated. But I heard something the other day that made a lot of sense. Trump has to be covering it up to protect himself, because Trump doesn’t care about anyone other than himself. If it were just his close friends who were exposed in the files, Trump would just say fine, put it all out there. He is perfectly willing to throw anyone under the bus – with perhaps the exception of Putin or a few other dictators he fawns all over like a lovestruck schoolgirl.
For the life of me, here’s what I don’t get.
Since they lie about everything and they do so endlessly all day long, why the hell not just remove the evidence of Trump’s crimes and renumber the pages and then put everything else out there to the public.
See, no Trump.
Or here’s a better idea. First, Trump could contact the guilty child rapists in the file and then in perfect Trump style, tell them that if they don’t pay him millions, he’ll leave them in the files when its released. If they pay, he’ll take their name out just like he does his.
But here’s the really funny part. Either way, Trump has nothing to worry about. Here’s my message to Trump. “Relax, if there is high-def full frontal video of you raping children, your supporters would not care one bit.”
Not at all. Think about it. They are fine with you indiscriminately murdering fishermen, they are fine with your high treason in attempting to overthrow the government. They are fine with you demolishing the Whitehouse, stealing $230 million of taxpayer money in plain sight, and they are fine with your vast and boundless cruelty and your unsurpassed economic stupidity that threatens the well-being of everyone around the world.
And they are fine with the fact that you tell lie after lie after lie about everything all the time.
So, do you really think they would care if you raped a few kids here and there?
Trust me, they would not. They would watch the video, maybe shake their heads, and just say to themselves, “Well, that’s just Trump being Trump.”
A Republican Who Still Has Some Morals

Pursuing and taking out drug dealers is legal under international law.
The Law of the Sea, a key component of international law and its predecessor, admiralty law, provides the legal framework for pursuing and, if necessary, using force against pirates or those deemed enemies of humanity.
Since the 80s, the United States has historically and consistently claimed jurisdiction over drug smugglers in international waters who were planning to traffic drugs into the U.S.
We’ve spent the last two generations intercepting ships in international waters if we believed that they were drug dealers. And we’ve threatened those ships with the use of armed force if they did not comply, all in the name of defending America First.
Courts disagree with your take historically. Killing of suspected drug dealers in international waters is considered ‘extrajudicial killing’ or arbitrary deprivation of life, which is strictly prohibited in almost all circumstances. The challenge is that international law has little if any real enforcement power so Trump will get away again with breaking the law.
There is a potentially weak argument of Right to Self-Defense but Trump and team would have to show that these small engine boats were actually capable of reaching the US which is unlikely. But they don’t care. Ignoring law is kinda their jam.
Obama faced similar criticism, but he had the basis of ‘AUMF – Authorization of Use of Military Force’ within the context of an ongoing armed conflict. So very different circumstance.
Hope that helps.
Chris you obviously know absolutely nothing about boats. Every boat that has been targeted have all had 4 – 250 HP motors. These are not fishing or pleasure craft and yes they are very capable of reaching the shores of the US. In the 70’s they were called cigarette boats and were definitely able to out run the Coast Guard They normally carry 10-12 extra gasoline containers in addition to there normal fuel capacity
You are right, I don’t know boats well enough to know so I used sources that would know more than me. And surprise, they disagree with you.
https://warontherocks.com/2025/10/strategy-or-spectacle-in-south-america/#:~:text=The%20boats%20lack%20the%20range,Fentanyl%20Flow%20Report%20makes%20clear.
The ability of the boats aside, it is well understood these boats are just moving cargo between larger vessels within the islands per senior drug enforcement officials.
FYI, it always cracks me up how Trumpers will claim to be experts in the most obscure things in attempts to defend his reckless actions.
I’m going out on a limb just for you but in the 70’s I was involved with drug trafficking, it was pot if you’re interested but I’m speaking from firsthand experience I personally don’t need an internet link to explain it to you. It was what it was
The largest outboard motor in the 70s was 140 HP. So no, you didn’t run drugs up out of the Caribbean Islands to the US shores. Getting a couple of pounds of weed from your Chevy Monza’s trunk from the beach to Greensboro isn’t really the experience you think it is…..
You must be an old boater those engines are command on center console fishing boats, adventure boats, power cats etc. You don’t know what you’re talking about!
The distance from where the boats were blown up to Miami is about 1,400 miles. A boat with 4 250 horse motors consumers about 1.25 gallons per nautical mile (GPNM) at cruising speed (4x that if full throttle). If they had enough fuel to make it to Miami, where would they put the drugs they are ‘suspected’ of transporting?
To be clear, it is the experts who doubt these boats are traveling to the US as consensus is they are just moving cargo between the island between larger boats. But regardless, the math doesn’t really add up does it?
What is your source for belief that these boats are traveling to the US from Venezuela? Oh right, your source is the same guy who claimed he lowered drug prices 700% and that gas was under $2 dollar a gallon. Got it.
19 as of yesterday chris. Bomb baby Bomb.
Chris, hope that helps
Another person is complaining about the new White House Ballroom.
Trump has taken a commendable step by enlisting private-sector figures and himself to donate funds for the project. The transparent list of all donors, which includes folks from the Left and the Right, ensures that everyone is well-informed and involved in this national endeavor, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility.
Democrats should be somewhat happy: Rumor has it that Trump would keep ICE out of the White House while construction is underway, and that Trump Derangement Syndrome is still covered under Obamacare.
Chelsea Clinton even chimed in about the renovation, saying, “Trump had a disregard for history.” Maybe Chelsea would like Trump to name the East Wing the “Lewinsky Ballroom?”
Where was Chelsea’s concern about history when American statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Christopher Columbus, Frances Scott Key, etc, were torn down or removed?
Hillary said it’s the people’s house, not Trump’s, to renovate. Of course, Hillary felt that it belonged to her when she was selling White House sleepovers to the highest bidder and then stole thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture and china during Bill’s last day as president.
As the Washington Post’s Editorial Board stated, “many alumni of the Biden and Obama White Houses acknowledge the long-overdue need for an event space like what Trump is creating. It is absurd that tents need to be erected on the South Lawn for state dinners, and VIPs are forced to use porta-potties.”
In 2010, Trump reached out to Obama with an offer to build the White House a ballroom because our country lacks an exquisite venue to host state dinners. At that time, the government was still slowly emerging from the 2008-2009 recession, and David Axelrod, Obama’s senior advisor, said it was a great idea but not the right time.
The East Wing will return more magnificent than ever, and the best part is that the entire renovation costs taxpayers nothing.
Trump’s criticisms are all politically motivated. As John Stossel might say, “Give Me a Break.”
More hypocrisy from the right. Didn’t everyone blow their lid over a $2 million treehouse (playground) in Greensboro as a waste of taxpayer money?
I suggest that at least the treehouse/playground was for the people in the community where this tacky overpriced ballroom is for who? Oh right, wealthy donors and those that paid their bribes to Trump.
And no, he hasn’t lined up private donors for this project. This is a big a fraud as when he said “Mexico will pay for the wall”.
Best wishes.
Chris I know now why you’re in such a demented state. You were the geek in your high school, I’m betting you got all A’s didn’t play sports and drove a AMC Hornet or Gremlin most likely Lime Green and proudly wore a leisure suit. This helps explain your mental state.
Only a conservative would consider a kid making all ‘A’s an insult. It explains Trump statement that “smart people don’t like me”. Which was him calling his supporters stupid but they were too clueless to understand that….lmao.
Couldn’t have said it better.
Stupid people use insults when they don’t know what else to say. We have seen this many times with our current government so this is no surprise. I guess it’s better to be a stupid jock and have your grades given to you so you can perform for your school and be a dumbass.
Chris I’m just curious, have you ever heard of a
Mercrusier 255 inboard boat motor. I have and still have one. Asking for a friend
Sure. Nice Motor. What has that got to do with anything? The suspected smugglers boats I have seen illegally blown up by our military use outboard motors that would never make it to the US coast from Venezuela unless they had over 900-gallon gas tanks hidden somewhere in their open hull boats. (hint: they don’t)
Suddenly someone who doesn’t anything about boats knows about a motor that was popular in the 60’s and 70’s. Go back on the internet and search for a masterful boat builder named Don Aronow. Tell me what you find.
The absence of any negative information about Trump in the Epstein files is a significant point. If such information existed, the Biden administration would have released it years ago. The real story here, contrary to the media and this writer’s claims, is not about Trump’s presence in the files.
The most logical aspect of Epstein’s case suggests that he may not have taken his own life. Bongino, before his tenure as the FBI Deputy Director, was vocal about his skepticism and openly challenged the official reports on Epstein’s death. His stance adds significant weight to the argument against suicide.
Prison inmates, whether suicidal or targeted by enemy agents, are always at risk. As the saying goes: “If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.”
Wow David. Getting a bit testy aren’t you. You sound like you were a geek in high school also.
WTF. This is just TDS ranting. Beat it, Chris…… I mean anonymous.
Promise it isn’t me. I actually don’t agree with his premise. At best Trump ‘leans’ fascist but in no way does he currently meet the extreme of Nazism.
Best wishes
Conservatives have shown again and again that they do not value the rule of law or the importance of the Constitution of the United States. THAT can certainly be used to make the case they ‘lean’ fascist, but the Nazi comparison just doesn’t hold water. Nazism is a very specific form of fascism at the most extreme end of the ideology that I hope the world never sees again. But I promise we are NOT seeing that level of extremism from Republicans as of yet.
Vote ‘Blue’ next year and we can still recover our democratic roots and world standing as the leader of democratic ideals that we have abandoned under Trump.
Best wishes
Remember when you vote in 2026 and 2028, if you choose to select Democrats, Antifa will be back with a vengeance. Your vote, your power, and your responsibility are crucial to Make America Safe Again and put an end to the rising left-wing violence.
Antifa is boogeyman term for a class of people and not an actual organization. There is no membership or centralized funding etc… They are the folks that wrongly believe violence has a place in protests and they highjack peaceful protests such as the past BLM movement.
Funny they didn’t show up as promised by conservatives during the No Kings protests.
Pretending that there are extreme liberals out plotting to destroy things and riot is a trick conservatives are using to classify their opposition as terrorists so they can further ignore the rule of law to silence the left.
Hint: There is no conspiracy within the left to use violence. Just a handful of angry actors who take advantage of circumstances to push violence versus peaceful protests. They are the vast majority of leftist protestors.
Well Chris we have a fine test case available now that New York has indeed voted blue. Let’s give it a year or so and measure the Democratic progress there.
I wonder if the author is the Editor….
LOL. Some people also think I am Chris.
You wish! 😉
LOL. Sometimes I do agree with you.
You know Scott, your response wasn’t an actual denial…
But hey, it was only a notion that popped up in my head.
If you want to clarify the situation with an unequivocal statement, it’s easy : just do so.
………
It’s not me and it’s not Chris.
Thank you for that unambiguous denial.
Now we know it’s not you.
If I have something to say it will be a letter FROM the editor.
While I don’t want to believe this individual is a “A Republican Who Still Has Some Morals” I unfortunately know some who are what I consider extreme far right. However this individual, the more I read this missive, doesn’t come across to me as a that. They sound more like far right conspiracy theorist. They are also someone who, quite frankly, scares the hell out of me. And even more so because they have the right to own a firearm (I assume) and they are undoubtedly permitted by the State to operate heavy machinery.
This writer follows suit with those designated in the Democratic Party, like Schiff or Swalwell, who can get away with their most outrageous lies, showcasing their blatant ignorance.
Anonymous hasn’t learned anything from the political landscape of 2016 and 2024. They/He fails to recognize that the majority of voters still support Trump. Their lack of understanding is beneficial for Republicans, as it gives them an advantage for the upcoming 2028 elections.
This writer is one of the reasons Democrats are polling so badly…hateful leftist quacks.
You like Trumps blatant ignorance too?
His quote from 60 minutes:
Trump: I watched a show this morning where a very well-known Democrat Congressman was fighting like hell for men playing in women’s sports.
O’Donnel: Who was that?
Trump: I don’t want to tell you. You’ll be able to check it. Just check your local TV.
LOL, that is the leader of our country either telling a blatant lie or a man struggling with Dementia. Which do you think it is?
Some critics and media outlets often express their disapproval from one Trump success to the next, always arguing that they would be better off with Biden than with Trump.
Let’s see what the facts prove, Ms. Anonymous Writer:
Let’s delve into the stark contrast in immigration policies. Biden set a record, allowing 10,000 illegals per day to enter our country. In contrast, Trump has shut that down to zero, already kicking out two million Biden let in. This is a significant shift that you, the anonymous writer, as a politically engaged individual, should be aware of.
Under Trump, gas prices averaged $3.19 per gallon, compared with Biden’s $3.46. Oil production has averaged 10% more under Trump than under Biden.
GDP averaged 2.9% under Biden and 3.8% under Trump. Inflation is just below 3% under Trump vs. 5.3% under Biden. These economic indicators should reassure the “anonymous writer” that Trump’s policies are sound.
Military recruiting fell 15,000 per year under Biden, even as he recruited LGBQ and T members. Under Trump, all recruitment goals have been met.
No wars under Trump when he left office in January 2021. Under Biden, the Middle East has blown up. While Biden was in office, Iran said they were very close to having nuclear weapons that Trump destroyed after taking over. Russia attacked Ukraine while the Biden Autopen was in charge. Biden got 13 military personnel killed while exiting Afghanistan, while leaving billions of dollars of weapons and military equipment to the Taliban.
Trump’s tariffs, which have brought in billions of dollars for the U.S., have so far not caused a recession or stock collapse. Instead, the stock market has reached all-time highs.
Trillions of dollars in promised foreign investments in the U.S. have set a record under Trump, and China, for the first time in 50 years, is facing an American-led global pushback against its exploitative trade policies.
I could go on and on, Ms. Anonymous…Please put down that NYT newspaper you are reading, take another Xanax, and relax.
Inflation dropped to 3.0% before Biden left office.
Under Biden oil production reached all-time highs that are now forecasted to decline under Trump. Presidents don’t really have any influence on gas prices…..reference my long ago LTE
Under Biden 16+ million jobs were created (well above the number lost under Covid during Trump first term) – Trump has now stalled the job market – to point of firing the person who reported the poor jobs creation figures.
Trump is actively starting a war with Venezuela. Has threatened to invade Canada. Note he also failed to end war in Ukraine that he promised would happen day 1 of his presidency.
Trumps tariffs are just a tax on the US consumer that mostly impact the working class.
Trumps illegal and inhumane tactics on immigration have hurt the labor market for farmers and factories across the US but that’s ok because factory jobs have declined and investment in new factories have declined under Trump versus Biden
While there has bene promises of foreign investments from other countries per Trump, nothing is in writing and no major investments have been announced as of yet. Likely just pacifying the bully as they work on new trade agreements outside of the US as we have already seen benefit China whose trade volumes have actually increased since Trumps trade war while US exports have declined.
US Trade Deficit Surges Despite Donald Trump’s Tariffs – The US Alone Strategy will hurt our economy for decades to come.
I could go on and on and on…..funny you mention drugs at the end of your comment as Trumps trade policies are also increasing drug prices for Americans where Biden as able to lower drug prices.
All lies right from the AOC playbook.
Economic data I mention is all easily sourced if you actually cared about the truth. Not that I believe many Trump supporters such as yourself care about facts or truth.
Best wishes.
Vegetarians and Hitler had something in common too.
My Dear Chris, who says there is no Antifa:
Representative and attorney Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is outraged over the recent Antifa terrorist designation and said, “Just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn’t make them a criminal.” I’m sure Crockett applies the same logic that lying doesn’t make you a liar.
Democrats, like Crockett, are running cover for Antifa because the folks on the Left know that organized militant Antifa networks operate as gangs for the far-left cause against the Trump administration.
Trump’s declaration that Antifa would be labeled a domestic terrorist organization was a crucial step in acknowledging the grave threat it poses to our nation’s law and order. The executive order, directing federal agencies to investigate and dismantle Antifa-affiliated networks, is a necessary and urgent measure in the face of this significant threat.
Antifa is no different than ISIS, al Qaeda, Hamas, or MS-13. They are well organized and allegedly funded through the Left by people like George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, Dartmouth University, National Lawyers Guild, Act Blue, Tides Foundation, Fidelity Investments, Schwab Charitable Fund, and many more, with the intent to deteriorate the law and order way of life that most citizens support.
Our country had enough native criminals without importing fourteen million new ones like Biden did willingly for four years. And there is no way Biden’s violation of the Constitution and the rule of law can be reversed in Trump’s four-year term.
Other than Senator John Fetterman, the Democratic Party embraces political extremism and has abandoned honesty and core constitutional principles, while they fantasize about political violence. Democratic leaders are promoting political violence and succeeding.
The first wave of violence began with the deadly BLM-Antifa riots of 2020, which were supported by the Left, including prominent Democrats like Biden, Harris, Newsom, Pritzker, Walz, and Roy Cooper. Their soft-on-crime policies created permission that excuses crime and violence, and accountability. The Left has encouraged and assisted in lawlessness across the U.S., victimizing real people.
We are now seeing organized resistance by elected officials, governors, mayors, police chiefs, and DAs who support organized crime in cities like LA, Portland, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, etc. Their defiance, which involves rejecting federal regulations, amounts to making their own laws and disregarding federal regulations.
This situation is on the verge of civil “insurrection,” an act or instance of rising against established authority or federal government, typically through organized resistance or rebellion, criminal conspiracy, sabotage, and possibly treason.
Article VI of the U.S. Constitution establishes the Constitution as the “supreme law of the land,” ensuring that federal law takes precedence over state law when they conflict.
Saying Antifa is no different that ISIS, al Qaeda etc… is like say a kitty cat is no different than a Lion.
Antifa has no centralized funding, has no centralized communication network, has no membership, has organization to speak of. Antifa is a best a random bunch of activists that bring violence to protests. Maybe burn a dumpster, or trash a car. At the extreme a few masked people used the BLM riots to burn a building. Those are just random individuals that borrow the label antifa if at all. Antifa is a tactic. Not an organization. It is an idea, not an organization.
You know who use violence at protests and HAS membership roles and centralized funding and centralized communications? Groups like Proud Boys, Right Wing Militia groups, etc… Not only are they not classified as terrorist organizations, but Trump has also recruited them to join ICE.
Antifa is at most a bunch a random young adults who cover their faces while bring violence to protests. Oh wait. THAT’s ICE.
Best wishes.
Chris says Republicans don’t value the rule of law.
NC lawmakers, in response to the escalating violence, are urging Governor Stein to deploy the National Guard in Charlotte, a move that has sparked a heated debate among political circles.
Charlotte has seen eight homicides in seven days, and the murder rate is 200% higher than it was a year ago.
The Fraternal Order of Police is making a heartfelt plea, emphasizing the importance of the situation and asking the governor for the help they so desperately need.
It’s frustrating to see the inaction of local leaders. Some feel that they need to call on Trump because Governor Stein and AG Jackson seem unwilling to do anything to combat the situation.
Rule of law is more about the courts than policing. So not sure why you brought that up in this context.
Military doesn’t solve crime or address the root issues with crime. Maybe it temporarily pauses gang crime if deployed in gang infested communities but that doesn’t seem cost effective solution nor sustainable. It is just the federal government’s way of bullying communities that have democrat leadership.
Conservatives ignoring the rule of law is about locking up and detaining people illegally without involvement of the courts which is supposed protect us from police abuse. It is also about conservatives ignoring court orders on the whole.
Hope that helps.
Unlike Biden, Trump has not violated one single radical leftist court order.
Your calling a valid court order ‘radical leftist court order’ is a great example of how conservatives have no respect for the rule of law. It is the classic example of how conservatives like you now lean fascist while tearing down US democracy that was once the shining light of freedom in this ugly world.
You are a tool of a regime….another word for that is sheep.
Best wishes.
How many times did Biden brag about circumventing the Supreme Court? Do legit research.
————-Biden ignored the Supreme Court’s ruling that Student Debt cannot be cancelled by a diktat of the President. He (and his son) are completely lawless.
Biden did not ignore SCOTUS with his debt forgiveness plan. On the contrary, he followed the letter of the law.
The initial, large-scale student loan forgiveness program announced by the Biden administration was struck down by the Supreme Court in June 2023 in the case Biden v. Nebraska.
The Court, in a 6-3 decision, ruled that the administration overstepped its authority under the HEROES Act of 2003, which was the statutory basis for the plan. The majority held that the Act allowed for “waivers” or “modifications” of financial assistance, but did not authorize the administration to create a fundamentally new and sweeping forgiveness program of such “economic and political significance” without clearer authorization from Congress.
Therefore, Biden did not ignore the Supreme Court to forgive those student loans; the Court’s ruling effectively blocked that specific plan.
However, immediately after the ruling, President Biden announced he would pursue an alternative, long-term path to student debt relief through the Higher Education Act (HEA). This new approach involves a lengthy rulemaking process to develop a plan under a different legal authority. The administration has since approved loan forgiveness for over 4.8 million borrowers under existing programs (like Public Service Loan Forgiveness or adjustments to Income-Driven Repayment plans) and through its new rules, totaling over $175 billion in relief. These actions are distinct from the initial, blocked $400 billion plan.
So Biden found a work around, while still negating the spirit of the law.
And Chris is obviously paid by the word.
Chicken shit rino.
To the misguided so called republican with some so called morals. You have your morals but absolutely no backbone so I’m gonna label you a RINO. Being afraid to sign on to an article that you so truly believe in is the epitome of a coward!
Shame on you Rhino for printing something from an anonymous source. Kinda like the mainstream media maybe?
Defending the scum that brings death to our shore is horrible. I only wish that we could destroy more of these animals.
The writer seems to have more affection for alien criminals than for our children.
When Democrats, like Chris, who occasionally slip and tell the truth, it actually hurts them.
As Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) said, only Republicans can reopen the government by “extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits,” and then she declares, “We should not be using taxpayer dollars to subsidize the cost of health care.”
Oh good Lord! You cannot be serious, or lucid!
Retaliation? Hardly, that’s a Democratic strategy.
If this your true view of the world you’re not taking me down with you. (Could this be Chris’s alter ego?)
Just jump and end your life. You sound so miserable.
(Name changed to protect me from retaliation), if not by you then Chris.
Retaliation? Please. You sacred someone will hit you with facts and data? Lmao.
Democrats, in their efforts to destroy Trump, have been the most vicious and despicable villains of democracy. But the tables have turned; call it payback, karma, what goes around comes around, an eye for an eye, unfinished business, or “justice being served.”
Perhaps this is the long-awaited “righteous retribution” for the wrongs and criminal acts they inflicted on Trump and Democracy. Many obnoxious critters in the Democratic Party may finally be facing the punishment they deserve, a sight that will surely bring a sense of justice being served. Retribution is just, and wrongdoing should be punished.
Obama and Hillary approved the weaponized mass communication to shape public opinion against Trump. For years, Democrats have been bombarding the citizenry with propaganda and psychological mind manipulation aimed at conditioning us to be compliant and controlled. However, Americans, who have endured years of radical lawfare, are now demanding accountability.
Somebody sounds like they love the taste of the conservative misinformation Kool-Aid fed to them conservative media talking heads. No wonder Trump said “smart people don’t like me.” He has people like Salt Life suckered from the start.
Best wishes.
When when you have integrity and admit that Chris is dead on Right!
Enough said…
To: A Republican Who Still Has Some Morals
Thx for intelligently communicating the facts and your opinions! We understand why Trump prefers the less educated and is staging a war against institutions of higher learning. For many, the KOOL-AID is much easier to drink than the TRUTH!
And Chris: Always the same to you, my friend!
So is life fine in la-la land? I honestly hope that you will one day wake up in a sane state of mind.
The sane state of mind is a place where facts, data and science are valued and the US invests in innovation and technology that keeps us ahead of the rest of the world in production growth and wealth. With Trump, we have anti-science leaders making policy decisions about public health based on conspiracy theories and misinformation, a massive disinvestment from research in innovative medicine and technology, the defunding of advanced education, and destruction of trade relationships in pursuit of what can only be called “America Alone” strategy.
No kidding, Smart people don’t like Trump. So, who does Trump thinks like him? People who, as adults, still make fun of the those that were making straight As in schools who were geeks and nerds as kids. You know, the not very smart kid of people.
But you be you.
Wow Chris I really touched a nerve didn’t i

Not a lot of difference between a nerd and a wanker, Rebel. Chris checks both boxes!
Cheers!
Smart people, eh?
Many universities have conformed to lower student expectations. For example, Harvard hands out more A’s than any other grade. Yale gives nearly 60 percent of students straight A’s. Columbia doesn’t require SAT scores for admissions. Wake Forest no longer needs the GMAT test for its MBA program. Several universities employ the pass/fail grading system or engage in grade inflation.
These leading institutions hand out honors like candy and contribute to a national decline in learning.
Without excellence in education, there can be no breakthroughs and no critical thinking skills. Most universities have abandoned individual excellence and high standards while maintaining their reputation, but without requiring students to work hard.
Wow, so now Salt Life wants you to believe that Harvard, Columbia, Standford, etc…. are not elite universities because all their students do really well in their classes. Weird
Please note that these universities attract the best students from around the world. Most still require SAT and ACT scores for admission. Some had paused during covid and found that these scores were not really that critical in identification of top students as AP course scores, extracurricular talent, overall grade scores, school context, etc… wrapped into a Holistic Review still enables them to rank students into a highly selective list of candidates.
Stunning how conservatives so want the world to be as ignorant and foolish as they are….thankfully there are far smarter people in the world than your typical conservative.
When you die, Chris, you don’t know you’re dead. The same thing goes for when you’re stupid.

Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. Chris is the poster boy.
More childish insults from a conservative when they cant retort. Yawn
You should know Chris. You’re a master at it.
LMAO Alan chimes in with a “No I am not, you are” comment. Now THAT is a childish school yard comment. Why get into the debate Alan. LMAO
Good you have back in the mix Alan. I miss the laughs.
Chris “Childish school yard comment”. Sorta like you saying “Go ahead, prove me wrong, betcha can’t”. Next time you say that, just add “Nana boo boo” and it will be perfect
This is the first time that I have posted on this platform. I typically like to read what others have said but it appears that many of the comments are such that I would suspect that those persons don’t have a life. I don’t say that in a disparaging way but the back and forth has at many times gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. Many years ago I would often let my mouth overload my brain and say things that were hurtful, mean, nasty and even downright hateful. As I grew older and I hope a little wiser I tried to think and analyze what point I wanted to make without getting emotional about it. A saying I once heard was thoughts evoke emotions, emotions lead to actions, and sometimes those lead to bad situations or other results.
I have found that especially in the years since I retired, I try to not my emotions get the best of me. It’s not always easy but it’s worth the effort. I find myself almost devoid of watching the news, listening on pundits on the radio, or listening to some person expound on their viewpoints to the extent it makes me want to turn it and them off (which in most cases I do). It makes no difference to me whether they are left, right, or in the center politically. I just don’t want to hear it. I’d rather talk, watch, or listen to something enlightening, learning something I didn’t know, or enjoying my favorite pastime, golf, or following my favorite baseball team.
The world seems to have enough hatred in it to go around for everybody and I would think that most people “hate” something or someone in their life. Believe me that I’ve had lots of those thoughts in my 70 plus years but I like to think I’ve moved beyond that.
As for the current political situation in the country I’d rather one say I just don’t see eye to eye with the leaders of the country but it appears that when any of them speak I believe that one of the purposes of their comments is to speak to your emotional side which creates a cascade effect and then we’re all off and running. With all of them I sometimes wish that they would just #@!% because I don’t want to hear it. Just remember the old saying that you can always tell a politician is lying because his/her lips are moving. Unfortunately in my opinion the truth is something rarely spoken because it’s just easier to lie, mislead, or stretch the truth. I don’t necessarily believe that they have our best interest at heart. Have you ever done something at work or life that was not in your best interest? Have you made a sacrifice that helped others but didn’t improve your lot? I’d like to see term limits for all elected offices but it will never happen because they are too invested in their own egos, power, and wealth. Yes there are exceptions but very few in my opinion.
Finally, try to say something nice about someone or say nothing at all. Boy that one is a tough nut to crack. My person is guided by my lifetime experiences which include working in several foreign countries and about 30 different states. I try to follow guidelines and principles set forth in the Bible and from the upbringing from my parents. I don’t always succeed but it sure beats the heck out of being a miserably, unhappy person who finds fault in everyone and everything. Remember, we are here on this earth for only a short time. Try to make the best of it for yourselves and others.
I don’t know why so many of you add fat to the fire by dealing with the likes of CHRIS and ANONYMOUS. The best way to handle them and those like them is to ignore them. They are so self righteous and set in their ways. You will never change their way of thinking. IGNORE THEM!!!!!! They won’t go away. You are only giving them additional opportunity to rant and rave. TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY IGNORE THEM. THEY ARE PULLING YOUR CHAINS. Let them spit in the wind.
I will always be here to point out the misinformation, lies and hate spewed by ignorant conservatives who have bought into the daily lies of Trump and the conservative media that promotes his propaganda. Your replies are not required and frankly lack any real value. Just here to keep balance to the Rhino Times so its comment section doesn’t become a right-wing propaganda echo chamber of the willfully ignorant.
Best Wishes.
FYI, not all commenters here represent as I have framed above. Heck I even learned something here the other day about an interesting study on voting holidays not being effective in increasing turnout. Doesn’t happen often as most replies are childish name calling and personal attacks, but it does happen. 🙂
———-
But you level personal attacks on me and other commenters all the time. You try to smear us with completely baseless character assassination, telling us more about your poisonous prejudices than us.
You say we are haters, bigots, ignorant, sheep, gullible, uninformed, racist, and stupid.
You are possibly the worst culprit in these columns when it comes to name calling and personal attacks.
And we all know it.
Hypocrite !!
I give as i receive. Not complicated.

Well… at least you have admitted that you are guilty of my charges, even if the reciprocity is inverted.
Dear Anonymous,
Seek help from a licensed professional at once, your rage and paranoia can lead to nothing good.

As I said earlier, it’s scary to think he/she is allowed (I assume) to own a firearm and operate heavy machinery on our roads.
