Do Your Duty Go Vote
Dear Editor,
Tuesday is Election Day the day when we, as American citizens, have the duty of selecting people to represent us at all levels of government. And make no mistake it’s a duty as well as a privilege, a privilege given to us by men and women who, in many cases, won and protected it with their very lives. To not exercise this right and duty is to insult any and everyone who ever wore a military uniform, past and present. I think it’s very appropriate that Veterans Day comes so close to Election Day.
If you’ve been listening to the rhetoric coming from the (National Socialist) Democrat Party, unless you vote to allow them to retain power this country, this Republic, our way of life will come to an end. One high ranking Lord of the Party went to so far as to compare a Republican win as being equivalent to Hitler and the Nazi Party’s accession to power. According to Barry it would mean the end of democracy as we know it.
Folks, these people are scared. They are about to lose power and when it happens all the dirty little things they’ve been working on are going to come to light. It could even mean the replacement of Uncle Joe, although I’m more scared of who will step in to replace him. Talk about frying pan or fire. And keep in mind what happens when a scared animal is cornered.
Are all the Republicans good? No. There are plenty of RINOs out there. For now all we can do is hope they don’t become too many. One good thing we are seeing is military veterans stepping up to once again do their duty for God and Country.
We have an opportunity to begin to turn things around for now, and in two years we can complete the process. Back to energy independence, back to a strong economy, back to being the most respected country in the world, back to having an Executive Branch that is not like a skit on SNL.
Republicans/Conservatives…DO YOUR DUTY!!! VOTE!!! If you don’t vote, you’re not allowed to complain!!! The first 3 words of the Constitution say it all, We The People, not We The Politicians, not We The Rulers, but We The PEOPLE of the United States.

Democracy Is An Unending Battle
Dear Editor,
Every democracy invariably devolves into a bifurcation of Left versus Right. That’s because of the unending battle for power between the government and the governed, between the state and the people.
The power balance has historically been one-sided, with the state exercising almost all power and the people very little. But feudalism and our concomitant serfdom slowly gave way to liberty and republicanism, particularly when one nation rose up by espousing the radical notion that the people were sovereign, not the state. This unique nation pioneered policies of individual freedom, unfettered free markets, social mobility and strictly limited minimalist government. In today’s parlance we would say it was a right-wing country. It was a daring and radical experiment – and it worked! Those policies turned an undeveloped wilderness into the world’s greatest superpower, in less than two centuries. And it became the desired destination for people all over the World.
The politics of the Right sets the people free precisely because the political Right represents the people in the unending battle for control. The Left represents the state. The historic loss of monopoly power by the state has been fought aggressively by those who would rule us, those who crave power over others. They seek to legitimize their lust for power using the fig leaf of “democracy,” now that the Divine Right of Kings and simple oppressive violence have both been discredited. And so the Left worships democracy above all else. They can manipulate it so as to appear to lend legitimacy to what they do. In truth, democracy’s virtue lies only in the fact that it is the least inimical form of governance to liberty. Or as Winston Churchill put it, democracy is the worst possible form of government – except for all the others. Liberty is the goal; democracy is just a mechanism. Liberty is the ultimate expression of power being wrested from the state, and being held by the people. That is why the Left despises and derides liberty. Our current President only recently mocked freedom as he insisted you be forced to accept an injection of a chemical cocktail into your body – whether you like it or not. Spoken like a true tyrant, a true totalitarian, a true Leftist.
All modern Leftists take up for the state, against the people. They promote the power of the state, advocating for ever more rules, requirements, restrictions and regulations, all the better to control you. They increase the taxes you must pay whenever they can, effectively turning you into their slave for several months of the year. Notice that in any current political debate, no matter the issue, the Left always takes whatever position will empower or enrich the state, at the expense of the people.
If you have spiritual faith, you will be able to see this battle for what it is, when it is laid out for you. Liberty is God given. God gave us freedom because he does not need a planet full of automata forever conforming to his every wish, servile and genuflecting before him. That’s the Devil’s desire. God’s not that insecure. He gave us life because it is a gift in itself, intrinsically worthwhile, and he gave us liberty so that we might come to love him of our own free will, sincerely, and genuinely (this also requires that he shroud his existence from us).
But what does the devil want? Control. Power. He wants to make you his slave, to force you to bend to his will, no matter how debased and degrading. Government is the repository of power, so he works through the political Left worldwide to further his goals. Liberty is anathema to him. It must be destroyed. Any pretext will do, so long as you are less free today than you were yesterday. “If it saves a single life;” we must “save the planet;” we must get our vaccine for “the community” (Satan loves communism); and so on. If he can kill liberty with a death of a thousand cuts, he will. So he works through the political Left, using gullible well-meaning fools as well as the Machiavellian and corrupt who gladly embrace his goals.
Democracies devolve into Right vs. Left because it is the eternal battle between freedom and slavery, between good and evil.
The Right is good.
The Left is evil.

Sometimes you just have to address the basics, the fundamentals of it all.
The left isn’t fighting to enrich the state at the expense of people. The left is fighting to enrich the people at the expense of big business that has extorted hard working Americans with low wages and paying minimal taxes. Austin is just repeating the same lies that Republicans have been telling since they pitched ‘trickle down economics’ back in the 80s and 90s.
The real suppression of freedom is big business money in politics that drowns out the voice of individuals. When individuals speak up via social media, the right calls it ‘cancel culture’. When individuals that the right disagrees with people (LGTBQ for example) trying to gain equal rights they attempt to silence them and erase them from society with book banning and restrictive laws. The real benefactor of government entitlement programs are big business. Over 70% of people who receive government assistance work full time hours due to low wages and poor or non-existent health benefits. But the right tells you they are just lazy.
People like Alan and Austin are tools of the right-wing agenda used to consolidate wealth and power with the very few. They use misinformation and lies to paint the Left as the enemy so you are distracted from those actually fleecing you of your freedoms. Democrats want to return that power and freedom to the people.

OK…and it’s going to be paid for how? Even if you taxed “the rich” (and I still haven’t heard who “the rich” is. what constitutes “rich”?) at a rate of 100%, you still would not be able to pay for everything.
But then everything you you laid out makes no sense. It’s basically out of the communist/socialist playbook and history shows what has happen under those systems.

Three ways to pay for Healthcare for all….
1. Offset of money you and your employer pay to private healthcare insurance (you and corps[see #3] pay in tax versus health insurance premiums)
2. Increase taxes on the wealthy (flat tax)
3. Increase taxes on corporations who have benefited the most from entitlement programs and low wages
These are things that all European Nations offer. To call it communism or socialism shows you lack any understanding of government systems and are just a fear mongering old fool working as a tool of right-wing propaganda.

So basically you agree in your first point that we the people need to pay for others who don’t work to have “free” healthcare. How is that even remotely fair?? He who doesn’t work shall not eat, a point completely lost today. I’m all for a helping hand for a limited time but not a lifetime. Point 2 says to increase the taxes on the wealthy which is completely against what the founding fathers intended. It is a fair rate across the table. Just because you don’t make as much money as others doesn’t justify increasing the burden to their hard work blessings. And as for point 3 why do you constantly insist that others pay on a different level into a system that was incorporated by the government in the beginning ? Don’t get mad at people or corporations that know how to benefit from a system that was designed to be fair. If you could get by without paying as much in taxes as you do, can you honestly say that you wouldn’t?? This country exists to be free and not to carry the weight of those who won’t carry their share. The opportunities are there for everyone and how or if you choose to work for it is entirely up to you. Nobody is preventing anyone from obtain anything that elbow grease and hard work can’t solve. The countries that offer “free” healthcare and distribution of wealth have failed miserably which is why we are the melting pot of the world. Anything can be accomplished by hard work and perseverance. Only a fool or a racist would say it’s not available to all. The opportunities are there but there also has to be a desire to achieve it.

Austin……An excellent assessment. Anyone who wishes to expand government does so despite the loss of liberty associated with the expansion. Alan and Austin, thank you for your totally spot-on comments and also blowing up Chris’ DNC talking points. One should view the sociocommunistic philosophy as essentially government sanctioned extortion that steals from society’s producers and then gives it away to all the slackers and slouches and other assorted leeches and parasites who think that society owes them a living and therefore feel entitled to a free ride at the expense of everyone else. Also, in light of all the bloodshed that philosophy is responsible for, one should think of it as a malignant cancer to humanity. Think of it as a cancerous boil on the skin of humanity that needs to be lanced, drained, and removed so that it can be tossed once and for all onto the garbage heap of history.

Jim seems to think that the 70% of people receiving government aid yet work over a 40 hour work week are slackers and slouches. Way to suck on the right-wing nozzle of lies and misinformation. The real slackers are the business leaders who refuse to pay their workforce a living wage (that doesn’t require government assistance to feed a family) so they can post record profits at the expense of taxpayer subsidies.
