Time To Stand Up To China
Dear Editor,
There have been two “close call” incidents recently between China and the United States. One involving military planes and the other involving ships.
Now, China may build an electronic eavesdropping facility in Cuba, if they haven’t already. When will “our” two-party government stand up to communist China?
I think that the government should treat China the same way that it treated the Soviet Union during the last “cold war.”

Actually, the two “close calls” were not that close at all. Nothing more than Chinese “hot dogs” showing off. Media is just trying to alarm you.
However, the U.S. does need to deal with China, but it won’t happen as long as we have the current “ship of fools” running this country.
I ask that that the readers of Rhino take time to read about what happened in South Africa. This once prosperious country was a major player in the industrial and argricultural world. Then Mandela came and caused the country to fail from all areas. He drove out the people who knew how to provide skills to all aspects of production in the country and gave the control to people who had no idea of how to work the land and provide for their families.
Now they look for handouts and help from others. In the end, the country is an example of failed feel good politics.
When the Afrikaners were in charge the RSA was prosperous, happy and free. They had to put up walls on the border with Botswana to keep those people from illegally entering the country – during the Apartheid era! It was a precursor of today’s illegal immigrants who risk their lives to go live in “racist” white countries.
The same disaster has enveloped Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, a once prosperous and peaceful country nicknamed “The Breadbasket of Africa”. Now it’s more like The Basketcase of Africa.
Socialism does that.

Interesting letter from Chuck Mann. The Cuban Missile Crisis tested the backbone and shrewdness of a young President who seemed callow after Ike. But Jack Kennedy was not found wanting.

How true Austin. I think back to when I was growing up my whole family were Democrats. That was when the Democrat party actually worked for the average American citizen, cared about the average American citizen. But then, that was also a time when people cared about their country and watched and held the Fed accountable for what happen. Things changed quickly and the Democrat Party morphed into what it is today. Americans took their eye off the ball and bought into the cock and bull stories they were being fed by what has morphed into the (National Socialist) Democrat Party.
But given that they are teaching kids how to put condoms on bananas and instead of teaching the three R’s are teaching how Dick and Jane have 2 mommies is normal, what do you expect.
The same thing happened with the British Labour Party, Alan. My whole family of coal miners and steel workers were solid Labour, because that was the Party that represented them. It was a class divide, in Britain at least.
Nowadays the parties of the Left have become unrecognisable. My grandparents would be shocked and disgusted, and incredible at what has become of their old party.
I dare say the same dynamic holds true in America.

I remember when the Republican party was about fiscal responsibility and small government but now all they want to do is control what you think by banning books and controlling what schools teach to fit their agenda to whitewash history while labeling as woke any social program or idea they don’t personally agree with so they can limit rights of Americans THEY don’t like. And of course, Republicans are all about big spending while cutting taxes for only the wealthy …just see the deficit growth under republicans since Reagan.

Yeah, then they all moved over to the republican party where they were welcomed with open arms and smiles. Remember….not all republicans are racists but all racists are republicans.
