The Lying Language Of The Left
Dear Editor,
The politics of the left is the politics of totalitarianism. The left seeks control of everything and everyone, in every way, including what you think. In order to alter your thinking they must establish control of the language, and so they are destroying honest plain English and replacing it with manipulative and deceptive language that is designed to shape your thinking.
Here are a few examples, along with the truthful plain English terms. I encourage more examples.
Asylum seeker – Illegal Immigrant
Rainforest – The Jungle
Community Activist – Jobless Busybody
Social Entrepreneur – Jobless Busybody
Listener Supported Radio – Taxpayer Supported Radio
Evangelicals – Christians
LGBTQ – Perverts
Public/Private Partnership – State and Corporate Collusion (aka fascism)
Progressive – Communist
Gay – Homosexual
NPR Underwriters – NPR Advertisers
Affirmative Action – Institutionalized Racism
Persons of Color – Non-Whites
Minorities (even When the Majority) – Non-Whites
Public Schools – Government Schools
Goebbels would be overjoyed at the effectiveness of today’s left in transforming the language into an Orwellian NewSpeak. In fact, Orwell said it best himself:
“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make Thoughtcrime impossible because there will be no words in which to express it.” – 1984

Thank you Austin Morris for bringing up this very important issue. Little by little our language has ben hijacked by progressivism. George Carlin had a great comedy presentation about same subject: “Euphemisms”. We might want to explain to people when they use ridiculous terms what they must be trying to say.
You’re right. The sad thing is that these mendacious and tendentious terms eventually become common currency, because of the pervasiveness of Left wing culture. So, for example, they have succeeded in hijacking the old English word for carefree joy – gay – and made it into a term for homosexuality. We have lost the word forever. It’s disgusting and reprehensible.
If you have to twist and torture the language, you know you’re in the wrong.
Honest people use honest language.

It wasn’t an insurrection it’s called a protest, unless you watch mainstream media and believe the dems. We the people have a right to assemble and protest. The clips are coming out (if you bother to research) of people telling how they were paid to create a riot and it wasn’t the patriots, watch the senate hearing and see for yourself the fbi’s involvement. Only the blind refuse to see and they try to say it’s “progress” when it only throws us back in dark times. As a conservative I will say that I don’t blindly follow a party but do my due diligence since the government seems to think that I can’t think for myself. I would remind Chris that there were two million known border crossings in 2021 with untold numbers of “gotaways” from over 130 different countries allowed to declare asylum and given U.S. gov’t. debit cards and transport to any number of locations anywhere in the Country EXCEPT Washington D.C. , and Rehobeth Beach, Del. , The Hamptons, and any other area where the politically corrupt vacation or live. These illegals (that have been vetted have brought Covid, Hepatitus, Tuberculosis, Measles, and any number of other transmittable diseases with them. Additionally, some have been found to be on the Terror Watch List, some I.D.’d as Cartel members, Human Traffickers, and a wide ranging numbers of previously deported Felons convicted of everything from Murder to Rape to Pedophilia, to drug running. All under the irresponsible and intentional direction of the Biden Admin. You better believe I refuse to silently accept this Communist crap to continue to ruin our great Country. I am all for strong border protection and eliminating the rule at allows illegal crossers to declare Asylum. But they are just people looking for a better life. Calling them rapists and criminals as Trump did to build support for a worthless wall is bigoted and based on ignorance and emboldened racists in our country.
Unless you are claiming the majority if the millions are all terrorists? Don’t use one offs to frame the truth of what is happening at our borders. Or the truth about terrorist attacks in the US.
Most recent terrorists attacks within you US are domestic terrorists. Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting (2012),
Centennial Olympic Park bombing, Charleston church shooting (2015),
San Bernardino shooting (2015), etc..
