Governor Picking Winners And Losers

Dear Editor,

Let’s talk about COVID-19 and our exalted leader whom we call governor.  Why are we told to stay at home, don’t congregate and stay away from our friends and neighbors? 

He has absolutely no source of authority to tell us we can’t enter our churches for worship services.  He has closed (put out of business) numerous wage-paying businesses by decree.  He is choosing winners and losers by a decision making process, the authority for which has never been given him.  If closing a business will cause us to prevail over the Chinese flu, why are certain others not included?  He closed our churches but not the newspaper, so is the takeaway to imply that some constitutional rights are of greater or lesser importance than others?  And, if so, how does one deduce the distinction? By committee?  Or in this instance, by fiat.  Or as our illustrious mayor, by dart board.

We should probably tell the governor to “stay in his lane,” and that his pronouncements, much like his foot on our neck, will no longer be tolerated.  This has had its opportunity and has failed miserably, so we should probably choose our own course.  Educated (not synonymous with learned) people are doing no better than we at getting on top of this disease.  Some are willing to allow misinformation to be disseminated simply because they have an abiding hatred for our president.  The only person in authority whose decisions have had an impact thus far we replaced in November. 

We have a vaccine which came about much like when President Kennedy declared we should go to the moon in that decade.  Our president put his full weight and influence into producing a vaccine in record time and what do you know, at least three companies appear to have done it.

At this point, our lives and how we will live them in these next four years constitutes a crap shoot.

Cone Did Fantastic Job

Dear Editor,

My wife and I got our shots yesterday at Cone’s Women’s Hospital – right on time and it went like clockwork. It was super well organized.  In and out in 40 minutes including wait time for any reaction. Cone did a fantastic job.

Democrats Don’t Trust National Guard

Dear Editor,

As of the Monday prior to the inauguration, is what is happening a vision of things to come under the (National Socialist) Democrat politburo and their leader, Sleepy Joe Biden, aka the illegitimate president of the United States? (I can hear the hypocritical howls now.)

Let’s start with the level of paranoia running rampant through the DC swamp. First the Biden mob wanted the ammunition and magazines taken away from the National Guard because of concerns over Biden’ safety. Then you have Congress critters claiming that because the Guard is over 90 percent are male and only 25 percent voted for Biden. They are seriously expressing concerns that a Guardsman may try to kill Biden. They even have the FBI conducting background checks on the Guard members in DC. They’ve got DC looking like the Green Zone in Baghdad. Why? Because they are scared.

Then there are the calls for selected members of Congress to be removed from office, in essence disenfranchising the votes of hundreds of thousands of citizens because the ’rats want them gone in order to ensure they have the votes to push through their socialist agenda. They want, they need the opposition silenced and/or removed from Congress. And they will pervert and destroy the Constitution to do it, the consequences be damned.

But the one thing they are actively, openly attempting will, without a doubt, be the trigger, will be the last straw, is their calls for out and out censorship of anything or anybody that disagrees or attempts to counter their propaganda. Several Congress members and Big Tech mouthpieces have flat out said that conservatives need to be silenced by any means. They need to keep the people ignorant of what is really happening and only fed what they want them to believe. Knowledge and information are power and they want to control both.

The (National Socialist) Democrat Party is only a few steps away from changing their name by dropping the Democrat part and revealing who they really are. They are trying to “legally” form their own secret police to “combat domestic terrorism,” which will be defined by them. Care to guess who will be included?

For you haters that have been waiting for this opportunity, I’ve got the coffee on for when the FBI you called show up on my doorstep to ask about my participation in the Capitol break-in.
