Joe Don’t Care

Dear Editor,

It has been a year since our supposed commander in chief, Uncle Joe, had us tuck tail and run from Afghanistan using the bodies of 13 of my brothers and sisters in arms to pave the way. Add to this he left behind people that supported our military at the risk of their lives and the lives of their families. And there are still Americans there despite what propaganda his mouthpieces say.

I’ve made it no secret that if I were 20 years younger I would be part of those private organizations that are trying to get those people out. All I can say is, God bless those that have stepped up to do what our “professional politicians” don’t have male body parts to do.

I am old enough to remember watching the evacuation of the U.S. embassy in Vietnam – the videos of helicopters hovering over the roof while people were packed on. What we didn’t see was the scenes at the gates as people were trying to get into the embassy for evacuation.

The worst part is the administration (read Biden) has yet to admit they did it wrong. They won’t even admit they made major mistakes. And everybody remembers watching that C-17 rolling into take-off position with that mob chasing it, climbing on it. People fell off those aircraft as they took off, clinging to the plane in an attempt to flee. Several were reported to have fallen to their deaths. There is one aspect of this that the overwhelming majority of people don’t think about: I can bet anything you want that several of those pilots and crews still can’t sleep at night knowing what happened.

But Joe don’t care.

Airborne all the way,

Alan Marshall
