Deaths from and/or with COVID-19 have been sad to deal with. Elderly and unhealthy people die sooner than later, never mind the fact that more have died under Biden’s watch.
But COVID has gone beyond killing people, it has also killed:
science
education
normal child development
reasoning
health care
judicial process
businesses
facts
entertainment
debate
careers
journalism
faith in government
freedom
truth….
I bet your readers could add a few more casualties from the last two years.

And just think….if everyone would just get the vaccine these deaths wouldn’t have happened. But thanks to conservatives making public health a political issue where door to door salesmen think they know more about Virology, Immunology and general medicine, here we are…blame who you like. How did I leave out families?! I’ve been denied visiting some family- even outside-because relatives with young children are so fearful. Yet, they travel by plane and go shopping among strangers. It is an insane world and it makes me sad to miss out on family gatherings. However I refuse to get a the emergency use BioNtech shot which is still being used in the US, not the Comirnaty as we’ve been led to believe.

Why families? I have spent more time with family as we have kept my brothers families and my parents families in our safe group by all following best practices once the vaccine has come out. In addition we become more involved in my daughter’s education as she adjusted to learning from home for a year. Been mostly a positive for my family.
Chris, I’m so sad to hear you care more about protecting your child from an illness similar to a minor cold than maintaining optimum childhood development and mental health. You have no idea what damage has been done to her psyche and brain development while only seeing the top half of faces and her mask tether.

Unlike you, I care about the must venerable in my family as well as my community. I guess you don’t care about the 800k+ that have died, the 100’s of thousands hospitalized, the hospital staff that are exhausted from the surge in demand for care.

I would only add that it has been the Democrats here and the left all over the world that have done the killing using the Kung Flu as a weapon and excuse.
Amazing how the Dems have been able to spread this conspiracy across the entire globe!!!! And even more amazing to believe that after 800k deaths even with the restrictions, safety protocols, vaccines, and improving treatments, that covid is no big deal. Even more amazing to believe this is such a loss as the most we have been asked to do is wear a simple mask in public, get vaccinated, and avoid large crowds indoors.

Although COVID has been detrimental to many areas of our lives, the Biden-Harris Administration and their puppeteers are responsible for the majority of our current problems.
How is that? I prefer to blame the unvaccinated that this stage as they are the ones filling up the hospitals.
Wrong! UK hospitals are full of the “fully vaccinated”. The leaky vaccines create a huge viral load in the pharynx which causes the vaccinated to shed the virus profusely. And they don’t even protect the individual.
The long term side effects are unknown, but early signs indicate serious heart problems, strokes, and immuno-deficiency issues.
90%+ of hospitalized in the US are unvaccinated. Omicron is showing that it has an even greater resistance to those that are not fully vaccinated with the booster and is a major problem for sure. I am glad you recognize the danger of the virus finally by acknowledging the overrun of hospitals here in parts of the US and in the UK. Now you just need to listen to actual experts versus youtube nutters that only want their internet karma.
Wrong! UK hospital;s are not overrun. But they are full of vaccinated people. They listened to “the actual experts” – they’re sheep like you – and caught COVID anyway.
And Omicron is like catching a cold, if that.

There have been over 800,000 deaths from COVID in the US. That is 400,000 per year. It has dominated the news, politics and our lives for two years. However, to put this in perspective, 600,000 people die EVERY YEAR from cancer. That is not news. We have not had tallies on all the news networks giving the “score” everyday. The media has made this virus into a circus. The so called “experts” know nothing yet spout off everyday. No one will disagree that this epidemic has been tragic. But it has been exploited by the media and the politicians from day one. It is not going away. This may run for several years as the virus continues to mutate. We have been fighting cancer for decades and have made improvements, but we have not been able to save everyone who is afflicted. It is important that we all understand that we have two choices, we can either move forward with our lives or let this virus dominate our existence. Everyone has to make their own decisions. I decide to live my life fully until the end rather than hide under a rock. Life is precious and limited. Make the most of the days you have.
You can’t catch cancer from nutters AB. You also fail to note that 400k deaths were mostly in second half of last year and this year it has been 400k of deaths even though we have a vaccine. That number would be far lower if more people would accept the vaccine versus listen to nutters like the lady smoking a vape saying she didn’t trust the virus because she don’t know what was in it.
With all the simple precautions that can be taken, the modern conservatives have chosen to politicized public health and have ensured the suffering and deaths will continue by downplaying all that have needlessly died or the overburdened hospitals because people such as yourself see this as no big deal. 800k+ dead almost the same number hospitalized for extended periods….
The ones making the most noise are those that are resisting the truth about covid, the vaccine, and simple precautions necessary to minimize the death and suffering that should be avoidable. Nutters are just a load crowd of whiners and their political leaders are even worse.

AB Nelson, you are on point. We have a level playing field comparison with states that have not permitted this “pandemic” to take over common sense and can see what has happened. The ridiculousness of some folks regarding masks, distancing, etc. is demonstrated when you look at crammed football games, car races and any number of other activities and I have yet to see an outbreak in any of those venues. Of course I am prepared to learn of all of them from Chris as he/she must be the angriest person in the entire country from believing that the libs have ever done anything of value for our great nation. What with their posture on criminals, police doing their job, all sorts of miscreants now being offered $1000/month from Uncle Joe to do what all of us are expected to do, respect the law. I don’t think I can identify one single thing this administration has done that has had a positive effect on anything. except improve Joe’s “legal” income, that is the only source he can talk about. One thing that came from the ongoing studies of covid is that being outdoors greatly reduces the risk of transmission. As our family doctor put after our daughter was exposed at an outdoor church function…
“being outdoors is a game changer…”. Hence the mask mandates focused on indoor crowds far more than outdoor crowds.
With the new variant appearing to be more easily transmitted and also more vaccine resistant, it will be interesting to see how states such as FL experience the anticipated spike in cases versus other states that actually take the virus seriously. So far FL looks to be the leader in the growth of both infections and hospitalizations.
