Democrats and Republicans seem to be in agreement that the US has a problem on its southern border.
Vice President Kamala Harris is in charge of border issues for the Biden administration, and things on the border are considered so dire that Harris was forced to actually spend a couple of hours near the border in El Paso, Texas.
The Wall Street Journal was the first to report a new Biden administration policy, and just revealing that this new policy may go into effect is the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire in an attempt to put it out.
An article in The Wall Street Journal states, “The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift. Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child.”
According to that article, the Biden Administration is going to pay people who crossed the border illegally $450,000 each if they were separated from their children at the border. So a family of three who crossed the border into the US illegally, and where the child was separated from their parents, could expect an over $1 million payment from the US government. In addition, according to the article, they will be granted a path to citizenship.
Thousands of people in caravans are already passing through Mexico on the way to the US border. How many more will be encouraged to make that trek when they learn that there is a possibility that the US government will pay families over $1 million after they illegal cross the border into the US?
For those living in poverty in Mexico or Central America, it would be crazy not to get across the US border as quickly as possible and attempt to cash in on the big money the US is preparing to hand out.
At this point, it doesn’t even matter if the US actually pays families over $1 million each for illegally crossing the border. It’s been reported in a reputable newspaper that the Biden administration is going to start paying out this money.
People in poverty often spend their last dollar to buy a lottery ticket where the odds of winning are infinitesimal. Who knows what the odds are in this case, but there is a chance that by crossing into the US illegally they will win a payout of over $1 million. Where else is someone living in poverty in Mexico or Central American going to have any chance of being handed over $1 million?
The border is already in chaos. What is to stop those crossing the border illegally from separating themselves from their children and then claiming the Border Patrol did it.
The very idea of putting this story out there is almost as insane as actually doing it. If the Biden administration follows through and starts making these payments, the number of people crossing the border illegally into the US will increase exponentially.
Just when you think the Biden administration has done the most insane thing possible, it doubles down and comes up with something so crazy that in your wildest dreams you couldn’t imagine it, like paying families over $1 million for illegally crossing the border.
It is going to be tough even for the Biden administration to top this insanity, but Biden has been in office for less than a year so he has plenty of time, and that is a terrifying thought.
Sheer Insanity. Is there a lawyer out there that will help me sue the Federal Government for pain and suffering because of this insanity? I only need one million dollars and I’ll even pay my own legal fees.
My understanding of this “galacticly stupid” idea stems from claims of reparations filed by the ACLU on behalf of illegals arrested by Trump era ICE and Border Patrol agents and were separated from their families. Another way of attack on the former POTUS and his supporters by a group with the word Liberty in their title but not their practices. Not for American citizens anyway, not to mention their contribution to the “fundamental transformation of America”. It would be far better to leave families intact. Hand them a road map back to where they came from and send them on their way. If they were able to get to our border from where they lived, they should be able to make it back.

Dems have come up with yet ! Reasons : This is $ from the American taxpayers, many of whom are struggling to make ends meet now. And many more, especially seniors, will have tough choices this winter between heating their homes and buying groceries, thanks mostly to Biden’s closing down the Keystone pipeline, thus raising the cost of gas, oil, and everything which has to be transported.
Giving large sums to people who never had anything is an open invitation to scammers. While you and I would invest the $$$, pay off mortgages, fund college for kids and grandkids, these people have absolutely no idea how to handle such a large sum, paving the way for those who would take advantage of them. These ILLEGALS are owed nothing by the American people! The absolute most we should give them is a return trip to whereever they came from. And Biden’s plan just encourages more and more illegals, many carrying disease, and many criminals among them.
Time for allAmericans to rise up and protest such a waste of our tax $$$ !
I am a very compassionate person but that kind of payout for families that knowingly put their families at risk does not warrant such a massive payout. Even if the Trump administration handled the family separate so poorly they were crossing illegally. There are legal ways to seek asylum. I have to believe that most that get caught crossing illegally, did it because they knew they could just last second claim asylum.
We need real reform in this area. Not a stupid wall or a stupid Vice President.

Just another Trump junk product like his wine, steaks, casinos, ties, etc… With modern tech, the real investment should be more effective to use drones, motion detection etc… to direct boarder agents.
