I would like to comment on last week’s Rhino Times Officers of the Month. It showed 25 wonderful, hardworking, obviously brave, dedicated public servants and the things that they did were wonderful. I also think that there are many more who could probably qualify for exactly the same. I would like to juxtapose that with a comment at The Sound of the Beep by a woman who stated that the Police Department was not doing anything at all, and that especially they were letting the black people kill each other, etc. It is just amazing to see the contrast between some people’s concept of what they think is going on. Keep up the good work, and God bless our officers and their bravery. Thank you.

About everybody I’ve talked to thinks that President Trump has done a wonderful job getting 50 nations together and selling $350 billion worth of stuff that will be made here in the US by union workers to Saudi Arabia. However, Fox News had somebody on that failed the second grade and quit school saying that the speech he gave was pathetic. That just shows how far down the Democrat Party wants to take this. I wish somehow or another, while they’re talking about it, they’d bring up the $150 billion that Barack Obama gave Iran. He thinks they’re fine people. Next thing they know, they had the sailors with their hands up over their heads, running ships out at our ships. Yeah, the best thing that could happen to our country, Barack Obama would move to Iran.

Hi. I’m calling to comment on Rhino Shorts, the Rhino Times edition dated Thursday, May 18. John Hammer, the editor, made a comment in the Rhino Shorts section in regards to the presidential library. You know, regardless of how much you dislike someone, you always have to give them credit where credit is due. In regards to the comment, John Hammer made about the presidential library, he did not point out that the Obama library, unlike the 13 previous libraries, the Obama library is owned and operated, not by the government, but by a private Obama organization. Therefore, taxpayers will not be footing the bill.

They are maintained by the National Archives because the presidential documents are public records owned by the federal government. Hi. I just moved my family here from New York City. And I feel like everyone calls and complains. But I have found that Greensboro has wonderful things to offer – many facilities, libraries. The only thing I wish you guys could do is clean up the downtown near LeBauer Park. You can’t have the transients and the riff raff selling drugs and smoking cigarettes in front of the library when the moms and the dads are bringing their kids to the library downtown in front of the Children’s Museum. All that would take is a simple patrol of a police officer. I don’t blame the cops. The cops are great here. But they should be there more. And I hope you guys have a great day, and go Greensboro.

This year’s D-Day anniversary, June 6, falls on a Tuesday. Folks, if you have any appreciation for the greatest generation, and what they did during World War II, I encourage you to take the short two-hour scenic day trip to Bedford, Virginia, home of the national D-Day Memorial. I have gone the last three years and plan to go this year. If you have never been, you will be moved by what you see there. Trust me. While there, I urge you to do what I have done, that being to profoundly thank as many D-Day veterans as you can while there. Unfortunately, father time is catching up with them. And if you are a baby boomer or younger, we will eventually see the last one pass away. Thank any World War II veteran you come across at Bedford, or anywhere else, while you can, even this Memorial Day weekend. Like me, you will have a new perspective on history. God bless them all.

I see where an illegal alien here in High Point running a sewing machine in the house is about to be deported. See where another one in Greensboro, they’re going to deport him. These people knew it was against the law to come in this country illegally. They not only knew it – especially overstaying a visa as a well. They knew what the laws were. They continue to break those laws. The people that hired them, I can understand a working visa. But the one in High Point, how did she work if she was an illegal alien? Did she lie? Did she have a stolen Social Security number or what was that case? Each one of these people has cost the taxpayers a fortune. It cost $267,000 to raise a child from age of birth to age of 18. This one in High Point has four children. They were citizens when they were born, grant you. She didn’t raise those children working in a sewing factory.

Just looking at the Rhino’s front cover. That’s a fine specimen on there just about to be soon be thrown out of one of the meetings uptown. I know her family is proud of her. Why don’t she take her efforts and get Nelson “hide under the car” Johnson and get over in the black community and wear that T-shirt. They need to know that more than anybody around there in the council meeting. Somebody needs to do something about all this. Now, whose fault is that? And the criminal that his mother got up defending him, I’d be ashamed to be his mother. He’s been in all that trouble, spit blood in a police officer’s face. He ought to have knocked him out. I am a retired 71-year-old Marine. I watched our president speak in Saudi Arabia. He is, without a doubt, going to be the greatest president we have ever had. Brit Hume and these journalists all get on TV wanting Donald Trump to shut up. But the reason Donald does not shut up – and what we like about him – he tells the truth. And, then, watch all the liars jump on board to put him down. It’s absolutely pathetic what the news media has turned into. What happened to truth, dignity, justice? This country really needs this president.

I went out to eat breakfast this morning. I was sitting at the table at the restaurant. It was about 8:20 a.m. Here comes four city firefighters. And I figured, well, you know, they just got off work. They’re going to eat breakfast. I walk outside, and what do I see? A big, red firetruck. Which means they are on duty. Their shift runs from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. So what they did, it appears to me, they went to work. They clocked in or whatever they do. Then they jumped on the firetruck and took off to the restaurant. How many jobs do you have where you can go punch in and then go eat breakfast and go back to work and get paid for it? I don’t understand this. When they punch in at 8 o’clock, shouldn’t they be doing something to earn their pay instead of getting in the truck and going to a restaurant and eating breakfast?

As we watch the Manchester terror attack in England, thanks to our fine, outstanding politicians that’s going to be us in the future. It’s already started the baloney in several instances already. These people came in here, Britain and Paris and all these countries, have allowed these Muslims to overwhelm the societies. David Cameron several years ago was talking to one of the meetings how they had spent millions of dollars trying to teach the Muslim women how to speak English until they finally realized that they had no intentions of learning to speak English. These people have no intentions of assimilating anything. They’re coming in this country to take over. They’re doing the same thing in Paris and England.

I don’t want to turn The Sound of the Beep into a movie review, but I want to comment on the latest from Ridley Scott and Alien: Covenant. Yeah, idiots in space. I mean, this had more holes in it than Prometheus, his previous one. A high school chemistry student, or biology student, could have better containment protocol than the scriptwriters on these films. I mean, it is less a study in like space exploration than it is human mess. I guess what it is, these films are extreme efforts in sci-fi and tech. Yet they ignore everything that everybody does.

This is on the Tuesday following the terrible bombing at the concert in Manchester where all of those young people were killed and injured. When you see that, it just makes me so angry. I want to just grab my gun and go hunt these folks down and just kill them. But, then, when I see on TV all the world leaders standing up talking behind their podiums about this is unacceptable, people are barbaric, on and on. And we just – we have to do something. But nothing happens. Why in the world don’t our world leaders all band together, unify, unite …

Sexism, like all “isms,” is universally condemned these days. But why? Why is it so unacceptable to bring to light such matters as the emotional train wrecks of PMS and menopause? They exist, don’t they? And they cause emotional distress to loved ones and strangers too, don’t they? Are we all supposed avert our eyes and censure such talk, like repressed Victorians, for fear of being politically incorrect? Why is it generally supposed to be criminal when it is reported that women often make less money than men in comparable jobs? I work in a commission-only job, and very few women survive for more than a few weeks. But even in a salaried job, why hire someone who’s likely to abandon the career they once so earnestly sought, in order to become a mother? Would you invest in such unpredictable people? To see your investment wiped out? These facts represent reality, not bigotry, or any “ism” of the left’s making. Men are men and women are women. Just sign me off as An Independent Thinker.

I’m sitting down here in Greensboro off of 52. Went underneath the underpass bridge, and I happened to noticed there is an African American in his uniform looking underneath the bridge. So, I actually stopped the car. I thought it was kind of interesting. Got out. Come to find out, his mom and dad have dies. The house they had was put up for sale and they didn’t get much out of it, apparently. But my point is, he’s still active duty. He’s back home here in Winston-Salem for the holiday. He’s living over here on an underpass off of Highway 52.

I’m calling about the budget that Trump just put out. I would like to ask these Democrats why are you so up in arms about this budget that it’s cutting the food stamps and the Medicaid program when we have the lowest unemployment participation rate since the 1970s. What are we supposed to do, keep all these people on food stamps and stuff when there is so much fraud going on? If you want to continue these programs – I’m talking to the Democrats – why don’t you forego your paycheck and let these programs continue? Other than that, you need to allow these cuts to take place, because it’s not fair for the American people to continue to work two, three jobs to continue these programs for people that are getting food stamps and fraud.

Yes, I would like to respond to something said by Mayor de Blasio, the New York mayor. He said the Republican budget is going to have starving kids. And I thought, wow, here’s a guy who supports the Democratic Party, who supports Planned Parenthood, which has literally annihilated 52 million Americans. Yes, they were American citizens who had no choice, had no voice. They annihilated them. And the Democrats have the nerve to mention something about starving kids, or not feeding grandma, or any of their nonsense that they go on with. It’s so ludicrous.

A couple of people called in the Beep about Jose Charles getting a settlement from the city. That’s just what he needs to further his gang career is a good chunk of money to buy guns, drugs and everything so he can really accelerate his life of crime and his criminal empire. I just witnessed some incredible rudeness. Three ladies eating breakfast at my favorite diner, having a meeting, were sitting there for over two-and-a-half hours, line out the door. Waitress finally asked them if they could hurry up. They left, and they stiffed the waitress.
