It seems like every company and establishment in the country is looking for good help right now and Piedmont Triad International Airport is no exception.
The Airport Authority, the seven-member board that runs the airport, is hosting an “airport-wide” Job Fair on Thursday, Aug. 25.
The event, which will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. that day, will be held in the airport’s terminal building at 1000 Ted Johnson Parkway on the departure level – the upper level, that is – near the American Airlines entrance.
Even though the employers are all connected by a relationship to the airport, there will be a very wide variety of jobs up for grabs. Prospective employees will get a chance to connect with companies that can be found all around the airport’s business campus at the single Aug. 25 event.
Come prepared and look professional because, in some cases, interviews will be conducted on the spot.
You may even end up with a job with the Transportation Security Administration checking passengers for contraband, deadly weapons and bottles of liquids.
Here’s a list of the companies in attendance that will be seeking quality workers:
- Archangels Transit Incorporated
- The Budd Group
- Envoy Air
- FedEx Express airport operations
- HAECO Americas
- HMS Host Restaurant/Bar Services Honda Jet
- Jetstream Ground Services
- Paradies Lagardere Travel Retail Piedmont Triad Airport Authority Prime Flight Services
- SP+ Parking
- The Transportation Security Administration
If you have questions about the event you can call 336-665-5600 or go to https://flyfrompti.com/job-fair/.
The airport is becoming a real job generator in other ways as well – thanks to the new aviation megasite that will be home to Boom Supersonic and other companies that also plan to add workers in the coming years.
There is no such thing as a pilots LICENSE. Pilots are issued Certificates. Private Pilot Certificate, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, Flight Instructor Certificate, Ground Instructor Certificate.
All media should educate themselves about Aviation; there is a tremendous amount of ignorance.
The two terms are used interchangeably within the industry.
chris – You are WRONG!
I work at the airport and I’ve never heard anybody say that they’re studying to get their pilot certificate.
I wonder what type of certificate you are qualified for? Enlightening?
This project won’t fly.
I work at the airport and yeah they’re used interchangeably…in fact I’ve never heard anybody say oh I’m going to get my pilot certificate!
You ignorant folks should ask a pilot to see his/her certificate. Nowhere on the CERTIFICATE does it indicate anything about a LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
