One way the new High Point Rockers baseball team put themselves on the map in their inaugural 2019 season was with a constant barrage of interesting promotions, and, now, months before the start of the 2020 season, the Rockers have another one they hope will bring the fans out.
This week the Rockers announced the “Digging for Diamonds” contest as their latest promotion. In that contest, fans can win two grand prizes valued at $2,000 each.
The Rockers, along with one of the team’s corporate partners – Simon Jewelers – is putting on the “Digging for Diamonds Contest.” The competition, revamped from last year, will culminate with prizes at the Rockers’ Saturday, August 29 home game against the Sugar Land Skeeters, when 144 fans will have the chance to storm the field and dig up one of the two $2,000 diamonds.
The promotion also allows participants to win other prizes such as tickets to Rockers games.
The entry period runs from now until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 28 and it’s open to all fans 18 years old or older.
Participants can enter the contest by submitting their names in one of four ways…
(1) Visit Simon Jewelers at 1345 N. Main St., #108, in High Point, and follow the steps to enter there.
(2) Visit the High Point Rockers “Guest Services Booth” behind home plate at BB&T Point stadium during any home game prior to August 29.
(3) Visit the High Point Rockers website, HighPointRockers.com, and fill out an online entry form.
(4) Send a 3”x 5” card with name, zip code, date of birth, email address and phone number to: High Point Rockers, “Digging for Diamonds Contest,” 301 N. Elm St., High Point, NC, 27262.
The contest this year is a richer version of the one in 2019.
Gary Simon, the president of Simon Jewelers, stated this week that his business is happy to bring back the contest.
“Last year’s competition was a tremendous success and we are even more excited about the new additions to this year’s version,” he stated. “By adding two grand prizes, a diamond necklace and a set of diamond earrings, as well as working with Rockers on even more giveaways, we know that this season’s contest will bring even more of our community out to witness the fun and passion that comes with a High Point Rockers baseball game!”
At the end of each month, eleven monthly winners will be announced from entries exclusively at the Simon Jewelers location for a total of 99 finalists. In addition, another 45 winners will be announced over the public address system at select Rockers home games, for a total of 144 finalists. Those contestants will receive two tickets to a Rockers home game in 2020, as well as two tickets to the August 29 game, where they’ll have a chance to dig for diamonds.
Fans are limited to only one entry per legitimate email or physical address.
