The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office says a narcotics investigation led to the seizure of fentanyl, cocaine, cash and drug distribution materials at a Greensboro motel room.
According to a news release issued by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Wednesday, May 27, at Room 204 of the Days Inn at the Piedmont Triad International Airport. The motel is located at 501 South Regional Road in Greensboro.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies seized roughly 21 grams of fentanyl, 17 grams of cocaine, $4,924 in cash and paraphernalia consistent with the manufacture, sale and distribution of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Enmannuel Jesus Stephens, 25.
Stephens has now been charged with two counts of felony trafficking fentanyl, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver fentanyl, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and felony maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping or selling a controlled substance.
Under North Carolina law, trafficking charges can be based on the amount of a controlled substance possessed. The approximately 21 grams of fentanyl seized in this case exceeded the threshold for fentanyl trafficking charges.
Stephens is being held in the Guilford County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July 15, at 9 a.m.
Fentanyl has become one of the most dangerous illegal drugs in North Carolina and across the country. The synthetic opioid is significantly more potent than heroin, and law enforcement agencies have increasingly focused enforcement efforts on disrupting fentanyl distribution networks due to the drug’s connection to fatal overdoses.

isn’t this the motel that burned last night ?
Jesus another Jesus illegal
Article doesnt mention if his is citizen. But I get it, bigotry is your drug of choice.
Chris. I personally have a lot of drugs of choice. Is that a problem for you.
Just the bigoty drug…..unless you also partake in the racist drug as well. Similar to the bigot drug but much harsher on the system and clearly causes more mental harm.
Melanin & criminality… As usual.
I don’t really understand this. It seems like the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office under Danny Rogers is working inside Greensboro city limits. They often focus on making drug arrests so they can close cases quickly, which shows up as “case closed by arrest” and may improve their statistics.
It feels like they are focusing on arrests that make their numbers look better instead of dealing with other crimes. From what I can see, they don’t seem to respond as much to cases like homicides, burglaries, or other calls within the city limits.
It gives the impression that they are using statistics in a way that benefits their reporting, while leaving other types of cases more to Greensboro police. Basically reaching inside Greensboro City Limits and picking the tight charges you want to assign to your Vice or Major Crimes so you can close it out buy arrest making your stats look much bigger than what they actually should be. You’re picking and choosing.
Danny’s already in cya mode for the next election. He knows that everybody is fed up with his butt so he’s pulling stunts like this trying to garner public trust. He’s not even supposed to be working in the city. I don’t know why the police is letting him do it. Instead of worrying about crime in the city, he needs to have his sorry tail out here in the country solving some of the crimes going on. But he could care less about any of us. Everything he does is to make himself look good. It’s not about the people ever. It’s about him always!!
Vic.rights,
Be careful. You may end up with late night destructive knocks on your doors…and windows.
I believe Greensboro city is in Guilford county? Drugs are illegal? Would you rather they ignore the drugs that are killing because they are in the city? One follows the drugs whether in the city, county,, state or wherever they maybe. A non- drug case, homicide for example occurs within the city then the local authorities investigate. If a suspect flees that jurisdiction then other agencies including federal become involved if requested.
What’s the problem with getting rid of the drugs from our streets? City council ties the hands of the police, everything is deemed racial if they arrest in the big crime areas on the East side of Greensboro. I am happy the Sheriff department is making arrest within the city and elsewhere to rid of those who sell illegal drugs, weapons, etc..
So what is your problem with law enforcement performing their due diligence?
Dude’s Mamma thought naming him Jesus would give his soul a free pass….NOT!
And doubled down with naming him Emmanuel also.
