The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 39-year-old man who was last seen more than a week ago.
Sheriff Danny Rogers said deputies are searching for Douglas Keith Petty, who was last seen on Tuesday, June 16, at approximately 11 a.m. leaving the Oakdale Mill Road area headed toward Liberty.
Petty is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Petty may have been wearing either a black hat with an “NY” insignia, a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and tan Timberland boots, or a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black Air Jordan shoes.

Police officers/sheriff officers / rescue should be checking all the river crossings in that area. Making sure he didn’t run off in that area. Happens a-lot more than you think.
