High Point University President Nido Qubein has certainly found the magic sauce for success, and, in a brand new book, he’s letting others know how they can find it too.

He’s written a string of best sellers and the latest addition to his list of books – “Extraordinary Transformation” – details the conversion of High Point University from a sleepy little private college into a university known around the world, one that even gets raved about in British newspapers.

The book, which is out starting on Tuesday, May 14, is available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble’s website, and it should be a very good read – especially if you’re a university president who wants to know how to do the same with your college.

All proceeds from the book will support scholarships for High Point University students.

In Extraordinary Transformation, Qubein lets readers in on the many lessons he’s learned during his two decades as the school’s president.

The success and growth of the university during that time has been nothing short of stunning, and, in the new book, Qubein reveals many of the strategies that led to the school’s growth in size and academic notoriety over the last 20 years.

His book, according to a May 14 press release, is meant “as an entrepreneurial blueprint for any leader who seeks to start a new organization or grow a proven brand that could use fresh ideas.”

Extraordinary Transformation is published by High Point University Press at a time when the growth of the university continues at record pace.

High Point University opened almost exactly one century ago as High Point College. The school will hold its centennial celebration this fall – so Qubein thought it would be a good time to put this book out.

Its publication also comes at a time when the school will welcome its largest enrollment in history: the incoming class of the fall of 2024.

The average tenure for a college president these days is less than a half dozen years, however, Qubein is now starting his third decade as the head of the school.

Qubein has published more than a dozen books on communication and personal development and he’s been featured frequently in national publications.

Also, the Biography Channel aired the Emmy-nominated “A Life of Success and Significance”– a 30-minute program of his life story.

He had the following to say about his new book: “Extraordinary Transformation is really an autobiographical account of how we applied business and leadership principles to grow and re-imagine the High Point University as a nationally recognized institution of higher learning, and I’m just as excited about the future of High Point University as I am proud of what we’ve accomplished in the previous 20 years.”

Qubein, an internationally known speaker and consultant, has also received a ton of prestigious awards over the years, including The Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

He was inducted into the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and the National Speakers Hall of Fame.

High Point University has consistently received national accolades from US News & World Report and other publications. It earned a No. 1 ranking in the 2024 edition of “Best Colleges” as Best Regional College in the South and in other categories as well.

This was the 12th year in a row that High Point University earned the distinction.

The school was ranked as the No. 1 Most Innovative Regional College in the South for the ninth year in a row and ranked No. 1 for Best Undergraduate Teaching.
