The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that, on Monday, June 16, the newly formed Guilford County Narcotics Task Force executed multiple narcotics-related search warrants in both High Point and Greensboro.
The officers didn’t come up empty handed in either city.
These busts follow on an impressive string of drug busts that have taken place in Guilford County in 2025, when a whole lot of cocaine and fentanyl have been taken off the streets.
In these latest busts, search warrants resulted in two arrests and the seizure of the following:
- 140 grams of fentanyl
- 311 grams of marijuana
- 6 firearms
- Various items of paraphernalia and manufacturing materials.
Adair Kyree Coleman, 29, was arrested and charged with felony counts of Trafficking Fentanyl under NC General Statute (NCGS) 90-95(h)(4).
Coleman also got hit with the following charges:
Felony Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle for Controlled Substances-NCGS 90-108(a)(7)
Felony Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon-18 U.S.C. 922(g)(1)
Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana-NCGS 90-95(a)
Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Marijuana-NCGS 90-95(a)
Misdemeanor Child Abuse-NCGS 14-318.2
In a second arrest, 30-year-old Nyema Shqueen Asahguii was arrested and charged with:
Felony Trafficking Fentanyl-NCGS 90-95(h)(4)
Misdemeanor Child Abuse-NCGS 14-318.2
Upon announcing the arrests, the Sheriff’s Office released the following statement: “Reducing fentanyl-related overdoses and deaths remains a core objective of the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force. The task force is a collaborative effort between the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), Greensboro Police Department (GPD), NC State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This seizure may have saved lives and sends a strong message to those trafficking deadly drugs in our community.”
The Sheriff’s Office also noted that, since these are ongoing investigations, no further information is available at this time.

I’m just curious, is the a handbook for naming black children. Must be a challenge to teach them how to spell their own name.
Nice job! Keep up the great work to keep the drugs off our streets. Now it is up to our courts and our legislators to send a “meaningful “ message !
How much cash was confiscated? Use it for schools and reduce the budget. Doesn’t matter, the kids still will score low on end of year test.
If drug enforcement was truly wanting to stop drugs, the punishment would meet the task! For trafficking/distribution, upon conviction, the death penalty. For sales, upon conviction, 40 years, with no parole. For possession, upon conviction, 20 years, with no parole!
Having been in prison before, Coleman needs to go back and stay in prison for 20 years, no parole.
the local economy just took a big hit ? do sugar drinks do more harm ? booze? motor vehicles ?
