One of the nation’s largest tour dog acts is heading to High Point, and the show should have area dog lovers wagging their tails in the seats. Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience is coming to the High Point Theatre on Saturday, April 15 with both an afternoon and evening show.

The first will be at 2 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m. that Saturday.

The event is being sponsored by Northwood Animal Hospital in partnership with the theatre, and a portion of the ticket sales will go to benefit the Break the Chain Kennel Kru – a nonprofit with the stated goal of “providing medical care and board for outside dogs during extreme weather conditions.”

David Briggs, the director of the High Point Theatre, said this is going to be quite an event.

“Stunt Dogs is so much more than a show; it’s an experience,” he said. “Be prepared to witness a remarkable, one-of-a-kind production that’s full of entertainment, energy and interaction. If you’re a dog lover, this show was made with you in mind!”

Perondi and his wife Suhey Perondi are master dog trainers who’ve been putting on entertaining shows for audiences for almost a quarter of a century. During that time, they’ve produced more than 10,000 live shows. Over 5,000 have been created for performing arts theaters and major theme parks.

They want their audiences to know that they use positive pooch training methods rather than negative ones.

According to the press release announcing the much-loved show, “Stunt Dog Productions currently offers three full-time traveling teams … offering the same high- energy frisbee dog shows mixed with mind-blowing dog tricks, incredible stunts, audience participation and much more. Every show is visually scripted with seamless transitions and musical choreography and features the most talented stunt dogs, trick dogs and frisbee dogs in the world!”
