It’s about time for people to start saying, “Take me out to the ballpark!” but now there’s a chance for some to say, “Take me out to the ballpark and pay me to come out.”

That’s because it’s almost time for another season of High Point Rockers baseball, and the team – like just about everyone else in this economy right now – needs to find some good workers.

To that end, the Rockers are hosting a “Triad community-wide” seasonal job fair at Truist Point on Thursday, March 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Catalyst Club.

(An earlier press release from the team had stated incorrectly that the fair would be earlier in the day. However, the actual time for the event is from 5 to 7 p.m.)

According to an announcement from the Rockers, job fair participants will be able to apply for part-time seasonal positions available with the Rockers – as well as with the Carolina Core soccer team, which is High Point’s new Major League Soccer’s NEXT league.

Both of the clubs’ seasons run from April through October, so plenty of workers are needed for those months.

Job applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be able to present a valid state ID. Prior experience in the fields of customer service, transportation, hospitality and food service is preferred, however, it isn’t required.

Parking is available in the club’s parking lot at 214 Lindsay Street in downtown High Point.

If you have specific job inquiries, you can ask those questions by emailing  info@HighPointRockers.com or by calling the Rockers at 336-888-1000.
