If you want to work off those extra winter/pandemic pounds, the City of Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Department – in a joint effort with the YMCA of Greensboro – is offering free outdoor fitness classes from April to October this year.

New classes are available every week.

There’s a wide variety of choices for exercise buffs: Pilates, yoga, Zumba and other workouts – including high intensity interval training that alternates intense movements to increase the heart rate with short periods of lower intensity moves for recovery.

All ages and abilities are welcome in the classes.

If you participate, you need to bring water and a yoga mat. Program organizers also encourage you bring a friend.

To keep track of weather cancelations, you can Text OUTDOOR to 844-765- 7664.
