Guilford County Schools will shift to remote learning on Tuesday, Jan. 27, because of hazardous road conditions across the county.
According to Guilford County Schools, all students will learn remotely for the day.
Afterschool activities have been cancelled, and staff will follow Plan C.
School officials said the decision was based on road conditions countywide.
Families interested in how weather-related decisions are made can review the district’s inclement weather planning information through GCS communications.
The Guilford County Schools Family Academy will also host a remote learning workshop for families on Monday at noon and again at 3:30 p.m.
Families who want to resubscribe or sign up for GCS communications can do so using the following options:
- Dial 1-855-502-7867 and opt in for phone calls
- Text START to 60680 for non-emergency text messages
- Text START to 54968 for emergency text messages
District officials encouraged families to monitor official GCS channels for updates as conditions evolve.

LOL! Anything so teachers can get out of make-up days in the summer! What a joke!
This never goes well. Give the kids a few days off…..
Mr Yost here’s a question to ask the city of Greensboro, why aren’t they throwing salt from 9 pm to 6 am in the neighborhoods, every night
Great question and I hope Scott can get an honest answer. A common sense question, but you know Greensboro.
