A Jamestown man is now facing multiple felony charges after a shooting early Wednesday morning that left another man critically injured.
According to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, to a reported shooting at 5305 Lenard Road in Jamestown.
According to Sheriff Danny Rogers, the caller reported that Evan Keith Aldridge, 31, had been shot by his roommate, Scott Alan Fanter, 44.
When deputies arrived on the scene, Fanter, pictured above, was taken into custody and charged with felony attempted first-degree murder, felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and assault by pointing a firearm.
Fanter is currently being held in the Guilford County jail in High Point without bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 27.
Aldridge was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the shooting was an isolated incident and that there’s no threat to the community. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.

When it comes to Muslims, look no further than Austin (or what ever his real name is) who demonizes the largest religion in the world but refuses to even acknowledge the Christian motives behind the large number of murders in the US.

Allow me to be politically neutral for a moment. I feel that is not nice to stereotype someone whether they are conservative or liberal.
Demonizing of immigrants, especially Hispanic immigrants was a key platform of the Republican party. So not a stereotype.

It really doesn’t matter. The last person charged with homicide was back in 2019—Tina Heal, accused of killing her mother. She’s still sitting in jail waiting for a jury trial. That was how many years ago now?
How much money has the Public Defender’s Office cashed in while she’s remained locked up without a trial? Where was Danny when her constitutional rights were being violated? Isnt he supposed to protect the civil right of his inmates. Where was Crump during all of this? Tina has a right to a speeding trial. She’s 65 now, she’s going to die of old age.

I agree with Tracy. Last I read somewhere; there are more than 80 people in the Guilford County Jail awaiting their day in court for Murder. Come on DA Crump, come on Sheriff Rogers, do your job. Get the victims some sense of relief. They have failed over the course of their terms and it’s time for a new DA and a new Sheriff. I don’t know who is running for DA, but I have heard the name William Queen is the top republican candidate running for Sheriff. I read his background and experience, and he looks like what Guilford County needs to get the Sheriff’s office back to a professional run Agency. I hope people will go vote, starting February 12th. We need a change.
I added up the combined time inmates have been sitting in the Guilford County jail from 2018–2021, and it comes out to roughly 164 years total.
That means taxpayers have paid for 164 years of public defenders, housing, security, and medical care—all while people sit in jail waiting on a jury trial.
Some of these cases go back to 2018. Tina Heal, who killed her 85-year-old mother in Jamestown, is one of them. This isn’t justice. This is delay, neglect, and a civil-rights issue hiding in plain sight.
Where are the civil rights attorneys? This should be money in the bank. And what about the inmates has been in from 2021 to present. Rogers needs to be in jail. These people constitutional rights have to spend thrown out the window. The District Attorney’s office, she needs to be disbarred.
Curious – what can the sheriff do to expedite the process when the DA takes no action? How would sheriff candidate change this? Suspect arrested, waiting in jail for trial. Seems problem is with DA’s and courts, not the Sheriff Department? Though Phil Byrd was the top Republican candidate for sheriff?
A little update here on the inmates in the jail. The numbers have dropped dramatically and it looks like our district attorney’s office may be taking massive plea deals instead of giving the offender the maximum which he deserves they’re cutting deals right and left. I feel bad for the victims and the victims families. We may have to call her plea deal Crump.

how many are eligible for & can’t make bail ? how many should be in mental hospital but there are no vacancies ? after their destructive/costly ‘crime’ we compound the damage/cost exponentially with guvmnt bureaucracy ! if we put them out do they become another bokety vagrant trashing our downtown as they ‘hover’ close to the free food sites they trash.
