From Rhino Reader Alan Marshall

I am watching the news as they are reporting on the shooting of the two NG troops in DC. While the situation is developing, various stories are flying.

One thing some of the news outlets are talking about is the body armor these troops were wearing. Unless things have changed, my experience is these are not “bullet proof” vests. They are flack vests. Those vests are primarily designed for shrapnel, not bullets, and definitely not high velocity ammunition. I’m looking forward to getting more information.

On the incident overall, my opinion is once a trial is completed and if/when this dirtbag shooter is found guilty, if he does not get life w/o the possibility of parole, then this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the justice system is worthless. If one or both dies, and there is no death penalty, the same, in spades.

What I’m waiting for is the liberal Democrats to get to their spokes-puppets to start their “oh I’m so sorry this happened” crap after basically ginning up their followers to do just this kind of thing. Waters, AOC, JD, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the (National Socialist) Democrat Party and their minions will be crying crocodile tears over this, showing just what big hypocrites they are after covertly encouraging their mindless drones to this type of action. The blood of these two soldiers is on their hands, and the scary part is there most likely will be more.

The other aspect of this is now those soldiers who are out there will be on a higher level alert and concern. Unless you’ve been in combat, i.e. bullets flying at you, you have no idea how someone can and will react. Think of that scene in Tombstone where the kid runs up to the Earp Brothers shouting “bang, bang!” on their way to the O.K. Corral. Now, think of someone doing that to these troops. That is why, again if/when, this ‘person’ is not put away forever, there is a strong possibility something equally worse can (and IMO will) happen. And if this individual is a juvenile, it’s going to be really interesting.

Carpe Diem
