From Rhino Reader Alan Marshall
I am watching the news as they are reporting on the shooting of the two NG troops in DC. While the situation is developing, various stories are flying.
One thing some of the news outlets are talking about is the body armor these troops were wearing. Unless things have changed, my experience is these are not “bullet proof” vests. They are flack vests. Those vests are primarily designed for shrapnel, not bullets, and definitely not high velocity ammunition. I’m looking forward to getting more information.
On the incident overall, my opinion is once a trial is completed and if/when this dirtbag shooter is found guilty, if he does not get life w/o the possibility of parole, then this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the justice system is worthless. If one or both dies, and there is no death penalty, the same, in spades.
What I’m waiting for is the liberal Democrats to get to their spokes-puppets to start their “oh I’m so sorry this happened” crap after basically ginning up their followers to do just this kind of thing. Waters, AOC, JD, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the (National Socialist) Democrat Party and their minions will be crying crocodile tears over this, showing just what big hypocrites they are after covertly encouraging their mindless drones to this type of action. The blood of these two soldiers is on their hands, and the scary part is there most likely will be more.
The other aspect of this is now those soldiers who are out there will be on a higher level alert and concern. Unless you’ve been in combat, i.e. bullets flying at you, you have no idea how someone can and will react. Think of that scene in Tombstone where the kid runs up to the Earp Brothers shouting “bang, bang!” on their way to the O.K. Corral. Now, think of someone doing that to these troops. That is why, again if/when, this ‘person’ is not put away forever, there is a strong possibility something equally worse can (and IMO will) happen. And if this individual is a juvenile, it’s going to be really interesting.

Since you live in ‘conservstive make believe land’ where you pretend Democrats aren’t appalled by this kind of violence, I will remind you of the actual words Trump said after the Iowa school shooting “…we have to get over it. We have to move forward.”
So stop with your fantasy that democrats aren’t applaud by this type of shooting. It only highlights your hypocrisy and partisanship.
But you be you.
Like the ones blaming Trump for putting soldiers “in harm’s way”…in D.C.? Soldiers by definition expect to be in harm’s way. And the fact that Dems use this moment to politicize and blame Trump doesn’t exactly scream that they are appalled, not “applaud” Dummy.
Yeah that typo was unfortunate. Funny if you have a sense of humor but unfortunate. Lol
In terms of your whinny talking points, welcome to politics Don, make yourself at home. Funny you dont choose to defend Trumps talking point that was arguably worse. Funny, but not as funny as my typo.
Best wishes
It’s whiny, not “whinny”, dummy. No one is whining. I was directly addressing your false assertion that Dems are appalled by showing you that they instead politicized the moment by, of course, blaming Trump. You call me whiny for directly addressing your assertion in one breath (while also providing no rebuttal) and then complain about no one engaging in real debate in the next. Get lost, idiot. (A person who willfully refuses to fix their mistakes is in fact an idiot, or in your case, a dummy. Learn to spell check.)
Wait, whinny (the noise a horse makes which you are right isn’t whining but still works here as the sounds are equally annoying) about Democrats pointing out the obvious isn’t you making this political? LOL, I say again, welcome to politics. Kinda how it works.
But explain to me how Trump sending Troops where they are servicing no real long-term value other than ‘owning the libs’ isn’t rationale justifiable for Trump catching heat for his typical overacting and wasting money and time. Go ahead, explain how National Guard troops will lower crime long-term. Noting of course that crime was already down well before Trumps ego war mongering mentality over-reacted and wasted YOUR tax dollars deploying troops against US citizens. AND since they legally can’t act as police, they are just standing around and racking leaves I hear.
My first point stands. Democrats pointing finger is par for the course and not unique to them or conservatives. How often do I have to listen conservatives whine about Biden being to blame for everything bad that is happening under Trump’s poor leadership? Heck they are now blaming Biden for the shooting of the National Guard troops as if Trump’s administration didn’t approve the asylum status. And get this, they say it is Biden’s fault because wait for it….wait for it…they Trusted Biden’s administration!!!!! LMAO, that is so rich in BS and hypocrisy I wouldn’t have thought Trump could even afford it…but there it is.
So again, Democrats pointing fingers is a big ‘ol nothing here standard operating procedure. So go get your panties in a wad over something that actually matters like a President deploying US Military against US citizens. Oh right, you don’t care about the constitution anymore. Got it.
Best wishes Don. Always a pleasure.
No, no, dummy. Stay in point. You specifically said Dems were appalled by this. I pointed out that they were not appalled, just politicizing. Two very different things. Now you’re trying to steer the conversation away from that and say I am politicizing for simply pointing out that they were politicizing? What a joke, man.
Yes democrats are appalled by the shooting. And yes, they blame Trump for uselessly putting them in harm’s way. Both these statement are true.
Even the Trump propaganda news channel shares my point of view that Democrats were just as appalled as conservatives.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bipartisan-support-outrage-pour-after-targeted-dc-shooting-national-guardsmen-horrific?msockid=187c19118a7b69b423230fa78b2d682a
Show me where any democrat wasn’t upset by the shooting of the National Guard members. Oh right, you are just politicizing this in the same way as democrats pointing fingers at Trump for doing what he very much did.
And stop with the name calling. Or are you really as awful and childish person as Austin? I will play along and call you names too if it makes you feel better. But really it is kinda childish.
But you be you Don. Cheers
“Dummies be dumb” can be my new phrase for you is you like. About as adult as your “you be you” nonsense. Maybe if you put some effort into the quality of your posts instead of quantity, I could meet you halfway, but you aren’t willing to change by your own admission, so I’m good with calling you a dummy.
Anyway, the issue is not that Trump put the National Guard in DC or that he “put them at risk”, which is stupid thing to say about a soldier. The shooter is the issue. The bad guy with a gun and ill intentions. If it wasn’t the National Guard, he would have targeted a cop in DC, or if he really had a hard on for the National Guard, he would have found them wherever they were working or training. You and the Dems fall too easily into finding blame everywhere else instead of actually blaming the person doing the crime and working to address that issue. Soon they will rail on about needing stricter gun laws, etc, even though criminals tend to ignore those very same laws. All of their wailing and finger pointing is politicizing, moronic, solves no problems, and brings nothing to the table to prevent future incidents. Sounds about right. Dummies be dumb, I guess, Dummy.
More boring childish insults from a conservative. Yawn. Had hoped we could have a civil discussion, but I guess not.
Be well Don.
Excellent. Now if only you could have the same attitude with Alan and Austin. You seem to enjoy name calling with them though. Better get back to it, dummy.
No. You and I just have different opinions. Austin is a racist and a bigot who loves to spread anti-science misinformation. Alan is a puppet of conservative propaganda who makes hollow arguments full of hypocrisy. You three are NOT the same.
Best wishes.
Never said we were the same, just that you like name calling with them. Get back to it, dummy.
I give as I receive. nothing more. nothing less. i guess i will add you to the list of childish name callers.
Best wishes.
————-
And right here, in black & white, is the proof that Don is right.
I am nowhere in this comment thread but Chris still needs to smear me with the most vile character assassination you can level at someone.
HEY CHRIS – GET OVER ME AND GET A LIFE.
I have humiliated you by proving you wrong hundreds of times, but you really need to move on, buddy.
Or you could fix your incomprehensible typos and maybe not be considered a dummy, but you refuse to change. Got it, dummy.
Mean spirited conservatives. Yawn….
Boo hoo. Can’t stay on topic because someone called out his idiocy. Go be “applaud” and clutch your pearls.
LOL, I still believe I am firmly correct in my opinion. Just bored of the exchange will low minded children.
Best wishes.
Opinions can’t really be wrong because their your feelings, so that’s a non-statement. That fact is that the suspect in this case is the one to blame, not Trump or whoever else you’re allegedly appalled at. Be appalled at the shooter, Dummy.
Oops. Should be “they’re” not “their”. Unlike Chris, I will try to do better.
The Democrats have been on tv that Trump out the soldiers “in harms way” because they were deployed to DC. Think about that. They know DC is a shit hole and they know that thousands of unvetted Afghans were released in to the US while our real allies and interpreters were left in Afghanistan along with 13 dead Marines. Private contractors had to go get them. One of which was defamed so much by CNN he won a huge settlement in court. All of the men, women, and children should be sent back. They don’t assimilate and take benefits away from US citizens
Hey Chris deport all ILLEGALS then let GOD sort out the good from the bad
Unvetted? Trump administration gave the shooter offical asylum status. How reckless of them.
Cracks me up to see you whine about Dem talking points while repeating Republican talking points as if you are thinking about this awful situation without a biased perspective and agenda. To me this is just another awful event in America’s history of violence and doesn’t warrant any great change in US policy as this is a single event and not a trend which requires policy big change.
Best wishes
The Trump administration gave people status because the Biden administration lied and said they were vetted. Also I’m sure the process was started in the Biden Administration. Blaming Trump for shit hole democrats city (looking at you Chicago and NYC) that have been run by democrats for decades is stupid. And wait for the new council to throw us into the abyss. Raises taxes to dump more money into the east side.
And about your side talking points. Everything is “but but but Trump.” What idea or policy have the Democrats brought to the table? Everything is to oppose Trump. They wouldn’t even stand for a child with cancer at the State of the Union. And guess why DC mayor is not running again. She got her democrat walking papers for admitting the national guard had helped bring crime down.
Biden Derangement Syndrome runs strong in you. Cracks me up you go with me being critical of the guy actually running the country (poorly mind you) in the same comment you are blaming Biden for Trump’s administrative actions. LOL.
Any proof that these people weren’t vetted? Or is your idea of vetting being able to see into the future like in the movie Minority Report? Trumpers love to point fingers at everyone but themselves. LOL
Best wishes.
———
Hey Chrissy, if “Biden Derangement Syndrome” is a hatred of Biden, then “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is a hatred of Trump – Right?
So are you going to admit you completely misunderstood it? C’mon loser, admit you were wrong for once.
We still arguing over the definition of made-up words and phrases? LOL I clearly use the definition that suits me given the lack of any formal definition.
BT, WI thought you didn’t care about official definitions such as Hate being both a now and a verb? LOL
Keep grasping at straws. It is amusing to watch. Always good for a laugh.
———–
Chris is now trying to deny that he misunderstood the term TDS – because he’s never wrong about anything, ever…
Pitiful, insecure little man.
I do deny it. Because you are wrong in your assumption. As usual.
Best wishes
***
You really can’t ever admit you’re wrong, can you?
Ok Chris here we go again, this is your third off. An ILLEGAL semi-truck driver in Oregon who got his license illegally just killed 2 innocent US citizens last week. Just keep supporting your ILLEGALS. This blood is on your conscience. You be you and sweet dreams
Pick you poison:
“One bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch.”
“Imagine if your worst action defined your entire family/community.”
“We all belong to many groups. Do you wear the same labels applied to the ‘groups’ you are classified into?”
“It’s a common psychological shortcut, but an inaccurate one used mostly by people with low IQ or a biased agenda.”
“Do you demonize all white male conservative Americans because there are so many pedophiles that turn out to be white male conservatives? ”
“Demonizing a group of people because of the actions of one or two out of millions is trick used by fascists to create fear and hate against a group of people for their own political purposes. The Nazi’s were really good at it. But you are getting pretty good…do you want to be like the Nazi?”
Any of the above arguments work. Just pick one and take your bigoted view of the world to someone as willfully ignorant as yourself about the value that immigrants bring to our communities.
Best wishes.
Chris,
Were you looking into a mirror when you composed that reply?
…..I didn’t think so.
Just go on you being you.
Sure. I had a bit of a cheeky grin in the mirror while I posted those. Those are the low hanging fruit arguments against the ignorance spewed by Rebel and his hatred of undocumented immigrants and his attempt to use one of instances to frame millions of people in a negative light.
Happy to share more. Unless you have a more direct (less cheeky) perspective you want to share.
Best wishes.
Chris after your last answer to a post I made about the 3rd ILLEGAL truck driver killing innocent U.S. citizens, I did a little search and guess what I found. In this year alone there have been over 2 dozen cases of ILLEGALS causing traffic accidents that resulted in fatalities. The latest one last week had an ILLEGAL killing 2 and injuring 2 more. He had been deported twice so this is his 3rd time in the U.S. His record includes 3 convictions for DUI as well as no license, insurance etc. But hey it’s your right to keep supporting them.
Couple dozen out of 18,000+ fatalities this year? What is that 000.1%
THAT is what has the upset?
Doesn’t justify demonizing an entire class of people now does it?
Chris,
“Doesn’t justify demonizing an entire class of people now does it?”
Please correct me if I’m wrong ( and you will try even knowing you legitimately can’t) but doesn’t this sound like this falls into the category of the pot calling the kettle black,,,aka being hypocritical?
I do not see how given your lack of explanation. Happy to read a response that makes your case and respond in kind.
Best wishes.
Speedy trial, no appeals, firing squad. Matter settled.
For 20 years, the U.S. war machine propped up Afghanistan to the tune of a trillion+ dollars. The original goal was to disrupt Al-Qaeda and prevent Afghanistan from hosting groups planning attacks on the U.S.
What did that exuberant sum of money actually get us? We failed to make the Afghan military self-sustaining or to help make their government stable without corruption. We lost the lives of 13 U.S. military members during the 2021 botched withdrawal. We allowed 200,000 Afghans to resettle in the U.S. under Biden’s 2021 resettlement program, which cost billions of dollars and eventually caused the shootings of two DC National Guards by an unvetted recipient of this program.
Biden has lots of blood on his hands, and he should be put away forever in the same cage as the DC shooter.
Salt Life. The US did the exact same thing in Vietnam trying to prop up South Vietnam
Actually salt life, you can go back even further to a previous war. The main difference is the refugees from that conflict didn’t have a religious driven hate for us.
Or just hate in general given we bombed them, triggering a massive surge of insurgents that put IEDs everywhere and started gun fights in their streets just to then turn around an negotiate with the actual enemy and turn the country back over to that evil regime. Not hard to radicalize someone who has had to experience that in their own country where they can’t return for fear of their life. Not one of America’s finer foreign policy strategies for sure.
I was not aware that among you numerous expert skills and knowledge, you are so knowledgeable of how the situation over there was conducted. I guess the military I’ve spoken with were lying about how operations went and we just dropped bombs and shelled areas willy-nilly while shooting anything that moved.
What’s it like to be such an expert on everything?
Such a sensitive little man to be triggered so easily.
I learn mostly by reading. It is a great way to become informed without having to be an expert in a given topic yourself. It’s called education. You don’t even have to attend school to do it!! Heck, you don’t even have to read now that so many books are in audio now which is great for long drives.
So please stop pretending that only military people understand the US failed history of wars driving for regime change. Sure, you have a great intimate knowledge of operational procedure. I bet you can rattle off all the crazy acronyms used by the US Army. Good for you. Thank you for your service. How does that change the big picture idea of the massive waste in lives, capital and other resources that was the Afghanistan and Iraq wars? What did America gain from the 5 to 8 TRILLION dollars those wars cost us? What did America gain from 7+ thousand US lives lost in those wars? How about the half million total lives lost in those wars? What did your friends that served tell you about that? Mine told me it was a waste of lives and capital.
Best wishes.
———-
Nailed him, Alan! This guy’s a royal ass**le of the highest order.
He thinks he’s an omniscient genius, dispensing truth and insight to us unwashed conservatives.
In truth, his supercilious smugness is matched only by his patent intellectual inadequacy.
And here’s the kicker : the guy is so stupid that he can’t recognise his own humiliations.
What a pathetic little prick.
More childish name calling from Austin. Yawn. What a bore.
———–
Someone in these comment columns is definitely a bore. A tiresome, predictable, pedestrian bore.
Get a life.
Stop soiling this great news source with your bigotry, racism, and misinformation / lies and I won’t need to comment and give a factual perspective on your BS.
Best wishes. 🙂
———–
Let’s take a vote on which one of us is “soiling” these columns, shall we?
What do you think the result will be?
If you want an echo chamber of anti-science and bigoted conservative viewpoints, go somewhere else. I am here to add diversity. I am the volunteer DEI comment guy. LMAO.
You’re something, alright.
As CNN reported this morning, the pipe bomber was a White 30-year-old male. Wishful thinking and lying. The guy is Black.
Well said salt life.
The fact that CNN’s mouthpiece said what he did shows they already had their story ready for broadcast, had their puppet to say it, and probably had plenty of follow on with Trump being the driving force his actions.
Just sayin’
Chris,Every war is a waste of lives and capital
For all those who have responded to posts by Chris, why not ignore him altogether. If no one responds to the posts by Chris, it will tell him more about Chris, that it does for all others.
—————
Because we don’t want him to get away with his demagoguery, deceits, and deceptions.
Impressionable minds read these columns. We have a duty to refute tendentious and mendacious sophistry, for the sake of young readers at least.
Truth is the antidote to lies.
Austin did you see on the news yesterday about another person was stabbed on the train in Charlotte. It was on the blue line the same one the young lady was killed on a couple months ago. The attacker was another ILLEGAL who has been deported twice and has a lengthy arrest record
———–
Yes, I saw that Rebel. Thanks.
In this case, the murderous human excrement was not an American black man, but a Hispanic male who was in the US illegally.
Animals are incapable of resolving disputes with empathy and reasoning, which is why they use violence.
I can barely remember as a very young boy, my grandmother admonishing her best friend to be careful of her surroundings, and to take along her husband’s (confiscated) German Luger for protection as the lady embarked on a trip to Rhodesia. That was when unaccompanied British white women could be presumed to be relatively safe as they went about their business in Africa.
That was about 1970.
JOE,
You make a very valid point, but sometimes it’s just so hard not to respond idiocy.
.
Children such as Austin, Patrick and Don often find great pleasure in being mean, ugly and childish as their main defense to having their hatred and bigotry pointed out at the level of detail that I use. It is the only source of dopamine in their sad little lives.
Best wishes
————
Alan served in our military. So did Patrick Henry. Don was a law enforcement officer, and while I have mixed feelings about cops, I agree that there is nothing quite as despicable as a corrupt cop, there is also nothing quite as noble as a decent and brave one. I suspect Don was one of the latter.
On the other hand, Chris is a sly little wanker who separated little old ladies from their money as an “investment adviser”. What a creep… in case you hadn’t noticed.
Austin,
Thank you for having mine and Alan’s (who is my brother from a different mother, lol) six. And I’m going to stick my nose in and say the same on behalf of Don.
Expect him to say something about his son, not even a subject of these discussions in a weak defense.
AATW, RLTW, De Oppresso Liber
You’re welcome. It’s important to bear in mind the contrast between honorable soldiers, sailors, and airmen, and sly shysters who appropriate the life savings of elderly people to “invest” them.
– Per ardua ad astra.
Austin being wrong again. LOL I work in Tech. I have designed financial planning software but have never worked as a financial planner myself.
FYI veterans can be a$$hats too. Alan is a great example.
Thank you Chris. I appreciate your comment. I’m glad to see I haven’t lost my touch after all these years
BTW, is your answer a result of the only source of dopamine in your sad little life?
“Chris on December 2, 2025 at 2:28 PM
More childish name calling from Austin. Yawn. What a bore.”
Do you mean like this?
“FYI veterans can be a$$hats too. Alan is a great example.”
“Children such as Austin, Patrick and Don often find great pleasure in being mean, ugly and childish as their main defense to having their hatred and bigotry pointed out at the level of detail that I use. It is the only source of dopamine in their sad little lives.”
“LOL, I still believe I am firmly correct in my opinion. Just bored of the exchange will low minded children.”
“Mean spirited conservatives. Yawn….”
” Austin is a racist and a bigot who loves to spread anti-science misinformation. Alan is a puppet of conservative propaganda who makes hollow arguments full of hypocrisy. ”
“More boring childish insults from a conservative. Yawn. Had hoped we could have a civil discussion, but I guess not.
Be well Don.”
Is this the “childless name calling…Yawn” you are hypocritically referring to Chris?
—mic drop—
Just responding in kind Alan. Lol
To be clear, pointing to the factual labeling of Austin as a bigot for his vial comments about the LGBTQ community and his racist assumption that some races are ‘less evolved’ than other isn’t childish name calling given I provided fact based sources noting the bigotry and and racist nature of Austin comments.
I have labeled you the same for your admitting you hated your brother’s sin of being homosexual as if his being homosexual wasn’t a major part of his personal identity.
Also note that it is fact that vets can be a$$hats unless you are claiming different?
Mic drop!
————-
Brilliant summary of Chris’s hypocrisy and “hate”, and childish name calling.
Thanks, Alan.
And furthermore, what kind of narcissist solipsist declares that : “I am firmly correct in my opinion” ?
What a wanker. But really, what an effing wanker.
————–
This creep Chris likes to perpetrate character assassination of people who disagree with him.
He’s a nasty, bitter, angry little man.
I have never said anything “vial” (sic) about sexual deviants other than to say they are sexual deviants – which is true. Apparently, this makes me a gay-hating bigot. Chris is unhinged in his anger.
He also lives in a little Alice In Wonderland world of his own in which all humans are equally intelligent and equally evolved.
He’s mentally ill – as he has admitted (really).
Chris,
Again you make my point…pot, kettle, black.
