Giving Aid And Comfort To Enemies Is Treason
Dear Editor,
Treason, as defined by Webster’s online dictionary, is the giving of aid and comfort to one’s enemies. My question is as follows: Does giving $40 billion in military hardware to a highly misogynistic geo-political terrorist cult qualify? If so, what would be the process for bringing charges against Joe Biden?
If convicted, would he be eligible for execution?

Otherwise when you make a snarky comment and then hide behind an assumed name it only shows how much of a gutless and petty guttersnipe you are. It’s definitely intentional!! These are BAD people who want to control everyone else so they can gain more wealth and do whatever they please. However, they underestimate REAL Americans, so what they are attempting to do will eventually bite them in the A$$. – hopefully sooner than later. I can envision another Civil War, if this foolishness is not soon ended.

The electorate in this country, by and large, doesn’t give a damn, anymore. That allows what is happening thru apathy, except for the bad actors. This country is circling the drain.

Unfortunately, there is no accountability in government. It seems that no one polices the elected officials and holds them responsible for their decisions. When their votes and decisions have personal consequences, then they may think twice on how they spend our money and make policy. How about a reduction in their pensions if they create a budget deficit.
While I tend to agree for the most part, there is accountability every two years for house of representatives and every 6 years for senators. The major problem is not everyone votes, and the democrats are more apt to vote than conservatives.
If this first year of Biden is not enough for our conservative citizens to get out the vote, then God help us.

Treason is one of many high crimes and misdemeanors that could be applied. Unfortunately, “root cause Kamala” is not much of a viable option and God forbid it would come down to “nattering naybob Nancy” !

And if we got past her then the next one up is Pelosi.The only hope is ,midterm we vote out enough Democrats in the house and senate to give a super majority in both .Then we can impeach whoever is in and replace with A Republican Speaker.we have our work cut out for us at Midterm.
If every President was tried for treason following unsuccessful military actions during his administration, we would have very few presidents not tried for treason. The arms lost to the Taliban were not given to the Taliban but to the Afghan National government – our supposed allies – and most were given during previous administrations – so you’d have to try 4 presidents going back to GWB. The Afghan Army saw the handwriting on the wall when President Trump made a deal with the Taliban which did not include the Afghan government and they began to make their own deals with the Taliban in an effort to survive the US withdrawal (which was supposed to happen by May 2021). While the initial days of the withdrawal may have been bungled, the end result was an end to a war that had very little reason to continue and a fine example of the ability of our military’s ability to perform when the chips are down.
Well said LHH. The drama created in these posts is I assume more about hate of the party of the president without any real consideration of the actual events. Heck most republicans were super excited to leave Afghanistan when Trump was in office. Even supported his negotiation with the Taliban. Biden certainly screwed up with setting up to get ALL Americans out before actually leaving and that will cost their party dearly in the elections.

If every President who has presided over a military misadventure was tried for treason, it would be by far the most common outcome fo an administration. The arms were not given to the Taliban, but were seized by the Taliban from our erstwhile allies – the Afghan government who received them from presidential administrations beginning with GWB.. Remember that President Trump negotiated an withdrawal of our troops to be completed by May of this year and did not include the Afghan government in those negotiations. The Afghan army obviously read the handwriting on the wall and concluded that they were being abandoned by the US and made their own deals with the Taliban. Whatever occurred – there is no way that it constitutes treason by the President.
Well, by that definition, negotiating the release of 5000 terrorists would qualify as well. So, lets put Trump on trial too.
Sounds like LHH is a strong supporter of the Bumbling Fool Biden, even after he has made a good start at destroying America; that’s not even considering the Afghanistan fiasco.
