An Apology
Dear Editor,
I want to publicly apologize to Austin Morris. He and I go back and forth in the comment sections of the Opinion Section of the Rhino Times a good bit. I recently inappropriately labeled him a racist in a few of my posts. This was improper and unwarranted.
I mistakenly credited him with a couple of posts under some articles that had some blatant racist comments and did not go back and check my memory to verify he actually made those remarks. This is not an excuse. Just an explanation.
I hope you accept my apology as I greatly enjoy disagreeing with you on all things political lately and hate that I took it too far based on my poor memory.

We all make mistakes, but it takes a big man to admit them and a bigger man to do so publicly. Your stock has gone up considerably in my eyes.

To be clear. I only apologized for calling you a racist as you have no history here I know of making racist comments. I discredited to you some comments from some others that regularly post here.
I still think you are spreading misinformation about vaccines and covid and will call you silly names and insult your logic every time you do. If you don’t like it and it hurts your feelings I will stop with the silly names. I was just retorting to the names I am often called here. Just ask if your feelings can’t handle it.

In the climate we live in today, this apology from Mr. Rice to Mr. Morris was quite refreshing. You don’t hear of many apologies being made these days…in the political arena or otherwise. I hope the apology is accepted and that Mr. Morris and Mr. Rice continue their disagreements respectfully!
While I would normally commend someone for apologizing for a mistake in this case I cannot. Leftists use of Alinsky tactics is the norm, Racist, Racist, homo/xeno/tansphobe, hater, jingoist, Racist, anti-science, anti-vax, climate change denier, Racist are thrown around to degrade and dehumanize their opponents. Making their solid, fact based, cogent arguments invalid because they are RACISTS and therefore are subject to scorn and being cancelled. So rice you can stick your apology.
It’s simple. Don’t say racist things. Don’t get called a racist. Not complicated. If called a racist in error, accept the apology form those who made the mistake. If you call someone a racist in error, apologize. Not complicated.
It’s your stock in trade and the ONLY commodity you possess.
My comment history says different. But people like you don’t care about truth honesty or personal integrity.
Actually Chris, your comment history is littered with insults, smears, character assassination, and other ad hominem attacks.
