Here at the Rhino Times, we need – and frankly deserve – a little time off like everyone else in the world.  So we will be off for a week but I am sure everyone who reads the Rhino is a News & Record subscriber as well, so you can get your news there, LOL.  (Seriously, that paper will keep you up to date on as to what’s going on in Winston-Salem.)

The Rhino publishes 50 weeks out of the year – with one week off in July and another in late December. In a week after getting our feet in the sand or whatever, we’ll be back refreshed and ready.

This will also allow some time for the website managers to make some software updates and patch some stuff and do some other needed things that I don’t understand because it’s above my tech-grade.

And, as we always say during our breaks: If you’re a government official who works for the cities of Greensboro or Guilford County or one of the towns in the county, and you want to do something corrupt or spend tax payer money in a dumb way, now is the time to do it since we will be busy doing other things besides watching you.

At the old Rhino, we used to have a section called The Beep, where anyone could call in and say just about anything (within reason), and we’d simply print it in the paper. The voicemail message would end with: “Catch you on the flip side.”

So enjoy next week – and we’ll catch you on the flip side.
