Greensboro police have arrested two men and seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana, 19 firearms – and an undisclosed amount of cash in a major drug investigation.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, detectives with the department’s Vice/Narcotics Division, assisted by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, executed search warrants on Tuesday, Sept. 29, that led to the arrests and seizures.
Police reported recovering approximately 210 pounds of marijuana and 19 firearms.
Christopher Jarel Suggs, 35, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, felony conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Interestingly, despite the seizure of 19 firearms, neither man was listed as facing any firearms-related charges.
Suggs posted a $5,000 secured bond.
Jammi Theo Parker, 39, was charged with trafficking marijuana, conspiracy to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to online court records, Parker posted a $50,000 secured bond.
The department hasn’t released additional details about the firearms or the amount of cash seized.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
